this is for those who are further along than me or hav had a baby b4-

when u first feel ur baby move does it feel different to anything u felt b4? just wondered as i'm coeliac and hav mild ibs so i'm used to feelings in my tummy. will i kno 4 sure what it is when i feel it?

I`m 23 weeks and think i first felt movements at about 18 weeks.
For about two weeks it felt like a bit of bubbly wind and i wasn`t sure if it was the baby or not. Then it felt slightly different like a very gentle little flick or two. Gradually though, i felt it and it I just knew that it was the baby, almost instinctively.
It felt like wind, but then no fart would come out, wheras other times it felt like wind and it was fart ( hope you know what i mean ) so i think in the beginning it was half wind and half baby.
Then I found that if i lay down on my back, and rested the TV remote or a phone across my bump and watched it, when i felt the movements/kicks, you could see the remote jump on top of the bump. That was a way of involving my husband so that he could see it too, cos it takes a while for people to be able to feel it from the outside.
Hope i have been helpful, I know how impatient I was to be able to feel it and know for sure. Its so reasuring to feel the movements and so special, I hope you get to feel it with some certainty soon.
