I put 3 boxes in each room;
Box 1 charity
Box 2 bin
Box 3 to move
This being the stuff not needed. I will seal box 3 and mark with a pen which room then with box 1 & 2 move them around the other rooms with me until full!
2 days before moving pack everything else up you won't need for those last couple of days then on day of removal I have the final boxes of everything else meaning an easy unpack (first to unpack) when getting into new house and you have all you need ready.
I wouldn't leave stuff in drawers ... night mare
Black bag clothes and mark them so you know who's clothes they are (maybe different colour ribbons - I used document enclosed stickers).
Do Royal mail ASAP and if you can do a separate shop of essentials and leave them in your new house before moving in .... coffee tea sugar cereal cleaning clothes etc
