how do my feet work?

This is just one of the questions I got asked by 2 year old jess today.
It started off with 'how do my shoes work'. Then, 'how do my feet work'. Then 'how do my fingers work'.
How do you answers these questions to someone so young

She was playing with a jigsaw the other day and asked 'how do I do this'.
She is getting way too wise.

Whenever mine ask daft things like that, I launch into a really technical explanation, their eyes glaze over and they find something else to do. Charlotte even says 'that's something I don't need to know until I'm older, right - sigh....' when I get started. They sometimes surprise me and actually listen and we end up discussing it for hours.

How come OH can get away with 'I dunno, ask your mum'? I try 'I dunno, ask your Dad' and they tell me I'm daft / stupid.

awww thats so cute of her! i remember my sister with all those questions when she was younger and also "why?" why why why why? oh but why?" to everything!!! LOL

Ah it's a great age isn't it.

Mason asks questions like "where does rain come from" and "how to trees grow"

He once asked me how a car started...I said "mommy puts the key in and turns it and it starts" He said "yeah but how does the key make the car start??"

I couldn't tell him cos I had no idea!
