I have a top sheet and a holed blanket and also that small cover it came with (apparently for show?).

erm, we just guessed but put some sheets down on the mattress this (theres a protector thingy on) and tried to make it as comfy a sposs and then use a blanket to keep him warm. it works for us.....didnt know there was a right way?
xx

I've done the same as what soph said! Sheets on mattress then blanket to cover them

I always did fitted sheet on bottom, then top sheet and finally blanket then fold the top of the top sheet over the blanket a bit. But tbh if baby likes to b swaddled then it doesn't matter x

theres not really a set way i dont think, just do what feels right!!!

which doesnt soud v helpful i know but it is the exact same when the lo arrives!!

lol ive got a carry cot which has a matress protector, then a fitted sheet, then blanket in there (Courtesy of MIL getting excited and putting stuff together already) i guess thats all you do x and you can add blankets as you please then :D x

Thats all I used to do , and like Emma said do what feels right for you.

anyone getting one of those swadde cloths this time? We never used to have those, or will a normall larger blanket do?

We had a moses basket with fitted sheet on the bottom, a folded muslin under his head to catch sick so didnt have to change the complete bed, we rolled a small cellular blanket which we placed either side of DS as he had a habit of rolling against the side of the moses basket (I got told off in hospital for turning him on his side in the plastic cot but it wasnt me, he just kept rolling), then a sheet and a cellular blanket over the top and tucked under his arms. We always put scratch mits on him as his hands ended up cold at night although we found socks stayed on better over his hands.

Joshua sleeps on his side sometimes as well tbh! yeah we quickly learnt to muslin cloth the head area just in case!

deffo a muslin cloth!!! we have a fitted sheet, a top sheet and a blanket and add or remove as temperature requires - like the first night we were home mil had been round and turned our heating on full blast, it was like a furnace when we got home, slept with all windows open cos it was still really warm out. tbh freddie just kicks off all his blankets during the night so we have invested in one of those sleep bag things for when it gets really cold and won't use any top sheets or blankets.
