how did you get into your hobby?

I really wana tak eup card making but not sure how to do it, where to get the stuff from. How did you get into it? Was it through family or friends or just something you took upon yourself, thanks for any help
Would be useful as coincidently gals just phoned me to ask me to get a card for his mum, must be ment to be

cross stitch - I was preg with Paris and bored on maternity leave - found mag in shop and wham bam still stitching 8 years on, took up cardmaking in 2004

One of my cousins does cross stitching and about 6 years ago I said to my Mam that I wanted to try it. She got me a Tigger kit and as soon as I started I was hooked.

I saw an advert for Scrapbooking in a cross stitching magazine so I decided to try that too, once again I was hooked

i started card making cos i had run out of walls for all the cross stitch tings i had made.

I saw a kit in a craft shop and bought that.

If you have a craft shop near you go along and look for kits, if they don't stock them then look for a magazine called Quick cards Made easy. they have freebies whihc you can use, ideas, tips, stockists and on the last few pages a list of things you need to get started.
