girls who have been told the sex of your baby at the 20 week scan? We are going to ask the gender of our baby next week but most of the people I have mentioned it to have said its lovely to know but not to get caught up in what they say as they get an abnormal amount wrong!!

We would like a 4d scan to confirm but they are sooooo expensive... We also wanted to start really buying lovely baby clothes in the gender we are told but now I have said to hubby maybe only buy a couple outfits and get the rest in neutral just in case?!?!?!

What do you all think?

I've only ever known of one case where they got it wrong! They said my mil was having a girl when in fact she had a boy! I'm 99% sure i'm having a boy as before the sonographer said anything i saw his winky!!!

I am more confident with them telling me this ones a boy than I was when they told me DD was a girl but then this time you could very clearly see his willy and obviously with girls you can't see anything so I was afraid DD was hiding a willy! Lol x x we're talking about having a 3/4D scan but not sure yet.

We didn't find out but, not for this reason though. We just wanted the suspense of not knowing! You could always buy clothes in pink/blue and as long as you keep the labels on you'll be able to take them back just in case the sonographer gets it wrong? Maybe wash one pink/blue item to take to hospital when you give birth and a few neutral bits?

I dunno, no one I know has ever been told the wrong sex so I think you should be fine. They only say they're 99% certain so you cant go mental at them if it's wrong! Hope scan goes ok x

You should go to Kent medical imaging where I went on sat to confirm the sex in a private gender scan. It was £60 and they did the 4d as part of it all included in the price with DVD and 27 pics!

That's fab! We paid £155 for the same (minus the confirming of sex)! Sounds like you got a good deal!

I agree Annie! I was looking into ones near us last night cheapest I found was £95 but that was pics only.... hmm maybe a drive to Kent! x

I think they only ever get it wrong when they say a girl as it could be a boy hiding its winky, but i found out with this one and my last and they are both boys you could obviously see both their winky's!! If they say boy i wouldnt worry and id start buying blue things but if they say girl id have a 4d scan to be 100% - Good Luck x x x
