What do you mummies think about TENS machines in labour?

I had one when i had Emily, and it didn't do anything but annoy me!

I think i left it too late to put on has i had been getting quite painful contractions before i puyt it on, i ended up slinging it across the room!!!

I am sur others on here here have used them

I used one and liked it. It's true what they say it does just distract you from the pain, gives you something to focus on.
Mine was £10 to rent from my MW, for a tenner it was well worth it.

I rented mine from Boots and can say it was definately worth it :D It's going to be on my list for things to have for this labour aswell! I found it extremely beneficial :D

I rented on from my MW and i would HIGHLY recommend it.
But you must use it from the very start.
The most painful thing was removing it at the end as my hubby and mw had stuck it on with loads of micropore tape

i used a tens machine for the first time when i was in labour with rubie, it did sod all for me at the time i forgot it was even there til the midwife was pulling it off my back after i had her
Though since having her i have had really bad back ache - been reffered back to the physio again only thing that i have done differently is use the tens machine so dont know if it was that or not :?
