How Armed forces are being treated...

As some of you may know I'm in the navy and as you know they navy are among some of the people working at the Olympics sign various tasks I just want to share a picture of how some of them are being made to sleep after 18 hour shifts because the government scrimped out on money...they may have chairs to sleep on but many others have wooden planks on the floor as a bed, and before someone points out I am well aware of conditions in Afghan etc but these are also men who will maybe put their life's at risk fighting for our country one day, I'm not here to cause an argument so please don't start just want to make it aware to people

This is planned by the government ...you should see the g4s accommodation 5star hotels the military don't even get blankets and it's freezing ATM

what base? DH was at HMS Raleigh training recruits, then at Dartmouth before coming out, he spent some time in Pompey too of course. You at Drake?

someone should be sending this to the BBC, disgraceful way to treat anyone, let alone the armed forces who will be working harder and longer than everyone else cos they can be made to!!

Yeah I'm at Drake I was on hms ocean but fell pregnant now working at the pass office at camels head gate

DH was on ocean as EMF a few years back, bet the pass office is boring! Do you get decent mat leave?

Ahh right I was on there for 2 and a bit years, Yeah it is lol but I go on leave next Friday for 4 weeks, Yeah not too bad ive got 3weeks leave I'm taking before Im due then have 6months full payed sml then 13weeks aml which is half payed then I'll have the leave I should of had if I wasn't on maternity to add on the end so in total just shy of a year off
