Amber (cat) is curled up on my nursing chair oblivious to the fact we've already had two firework "shows" on the green right outside???

She was under the bed earlier when we had Henry out so I put her food in the bedroom as I was convinced she'd stay put.

Nope, nosey little monster came wondering out and was, at one point, clambering for a look out of the [closed] window...

This is the bravest she's been... It's bonfire night number 4 for her!!

I hope everyone else's pets are OK though?? I know this is a horrible night for some cats and dogs!!

My cat couldn't care less really, my male dog is not too bad, gets a bit funny with the loud ones, my female dog on the other hand is spending another night squished into the corner with her nose as far in as it'll go, she's skittish anyway but fireworks are just horrendous for her :(

My cat couldn't care less, he infact wants to go outside!

One of my dogs is convinced that the fireworks are aimed at her and death is imminent and the other one has decided that although he has never been scared of fireworks before, tonight he had better sit under the table just incase.

They are still going off now!! Its ten o'clock for goodness sake!!! A bit inconsiderate really!!

My dog doesn't really notice them, but ever since he was a puppy we've had him outside in the garden on the lead with us while we've set off fireworks, so I think he's used to them now.

Feel sorry for him, poor animals dnt hav a clue wats goin on

They were quite jumpy earlier but, aside from leaving the radio on for them in the bedroom if they wanted to escape up there, we just carried on as normal and they're fine now. The fireworks have nowhere near stopped round by us and will probably go on until the small hours.

My cat has been really jumpy and hidden under the bed all evening

One of my cats hates them and is a bit jumpy, not as bad as he used to be though.

Keep in mind that you can get some calmatives for your animals if you know there will be big noises, changes in routine that may affect them or leave them stressed. You can get Feliway Diffusers or sprays for cats and DAP Diffusers, sprays and collars for dogs. They also do a number of different types of calmatives available from the vets such as Zylkene tablets and Calmaid paste and tablets. They may also do more these days, just speak to your vet for the best option for you and your pets.

My dog must be odd, she really doesn't flinch at fireworks, we even took her a walk when some really big displays were popping off quite close and she seemed oblivious to them. Very occasionally she looked up at them and cocked her head to one side. Guess I'm just lucky to have a brave little pooch :)

My Jakey ( a long haired collie) has been pretty shakey and scared every night for a week. We have a green outside in the street and all the estate seem to come to set them off. Poor thing he shakes and pants and follows me even to the loo. Ive tried ignoring it , this doesn't work, I just carry on with what i'm doing but give him the occasional pat of reassurance. Hes 10 now and its been much worse since we moved to vile Lancaster. He holds in his wee until morning and wakes me up early because he's desparate to go.
I do miss the bonfires but cant leave him to his terror. Poor thing.

I'm lucky with my 2 neither of them could give a monkeys. Unlesss there is a really loud bang and it wakes them up, they quickly give me dirty looks for waking them up and go back to sleep :)

My dog was fine since he was having hubby cuddles on the sofa.
It was my parrot that was screaming and panicing so had to cover her up with a black out cover :(

She's still a bit on edge this morning but will settle in a few days with loads of treats.

My lab has never ever bothered until this year but he was a rel state but my dad was pandering to him which didnt help but my collie wasnt too fussed xx
