Hi

Just wondered how much you do everyday now you have a baby in tow? I do the basics by taking Isaac round the house with me most of the time but I'd really like to do a proper spring clean, you know skirting boards behind the wardrobe sort of thing. How often do you have a "spring clean"?

Watching that programme How clean is your house is murder. It makes me want to bleach myself let alone the house! The last time we watched it I cleanded the oven and Jarrod bleached the utility room top to bottom straight after watching it lol

Lou :)

Hi - just replied to you on the buggy thread!

i do bits everyday and then the whole house, all the dusting, bathroom etc once a week. mega spring cleans only get done when one of us notices something is getting out of hand!

Alex is pretty good at lettin gme get on now. he just sits in his bumbo or in his bouncer and watches. as long as i stil chat to him or sing songs then he's happy! :D

I can't be bothered with housework much now, everything is such a mess now lol

I am working at home and that takes up my time when I am not looking afer Kai

Im so lazy, iv always been really messy. Im a bit better now as have to be organized but wish I could find the time to clean more.

I hoover about twice a week  and dust once. Im a bit obsessed with keeping the kitchen clean because that where all the real germs etc are and steralize the units every day.

Whats spring clean ?!!!! lol

Im not as anal as I used to be about cleaning but do have my moments. I try to keep the main areas clean and tidy. The kitchen is my bit as well, I hate cleaning the bathroom and like to hoover every day  .
I think how clean is your house sometimes goes over the top as wee bit.

i will wash clothes and do the washing up everyday, followed by cleaning the kitchen.

dusting hoovering and teh bathroom get done once a week when jase is home to help

xx

i do the dishes and wash the clothes - same and layla. everything else gets done when i have time and energy. I don't get myself stressed about it now. I tidy up a bit daily because i find it depressing sitting amongst mess.

I hoover downstairs daily (got 2 yorkies) and upstairs once or twice a week. Polish once a week, clean kitchen daily, wash bath and sink daily.
I think one weekend DH and I need to do a real spring clean, but it's getting round to it with other diy bits needing doing.

I do the basics everyday, but bigger jobs like mopping the floor and cleaning the oven and bathroom I'm ashamed to say i haven't been doing very often. I just can't be bothered, when Aimee is asleep or playing I just want to watch tele or sit on here.

Hi

Thanks for your replies. I was thinking I am a lazy cow but it seems I am just normal lol I'm lucky with Jarrod because he doesn't mind cleaning up if the house gets messy and neither of us like ornaments or clutter so our house is relatively easy to clean. I would just hate for someone to come round and think my house was dirty so even when I'm feeling tired I still try and do the basics. Its gonna be a whole new ball game though once Isaac can crawl! We have laminate downstairs apart from the living room so I'm thinking I'll have to get up each morning and mop before Isaac comes down or mop the night before just before bed.

What do you think?

Lou :)

i do downstairs everyday as they are the rooms people see and i have 2 cats! upstairs gets done on weekends when ben looks after matthew i get scrubbing! then washing gets done when the basket looks full and i iron it all in one go at the weekend. I cant iron when matthew sleeps in the day as i do it upstairs at the moment and i dont want to wake him since it takes forever to get him off some days!

I do washing up about 100 times a day, clean the kitchen, hoover once or twice a day (have 3 cats), 2 or 3 loads of washing, and have a general tidy round.

Once a week (or if someone is visiting) I clean the bathroom and dust. My mum does most of my ironing, I only do Rubie's, and thats once a week too.
