Hi Sorry this is a bit long
I'd really like your opinions on the letter I've just written to the hospital, I'm really angry about it at the moment so I may have worded it a bit too strong.
As background, since my miscarriage (that was confirmed by the hospital so they couldn't say they didn't know) I keep receiving appointment letters from the hospital for midwife appointments and other pregnancy type appointments, each time I receive one it really upsets me. I wrote a polite complaint letter to them in april and they immediately sent an apology and a month later another letter explaining what had gone wrong and the measures they've put in place to ensure it doesn't happen again to me or anyone else.
Anyway I thought that was the end of it until I get another letter this week telling me I've missed a midwife appointment that was on 30th June, how the hell can I have missed an appointment that hasn't happened yet, didn't know about and shouldn't have been given anyway!
I'm swinging between being really angry and really upset
Here's the letter, please let me know what you think, thank you
"Following on from my previous letter (copy attached) and receiving two letters from yourselves apologising, explaining what had gone wrong and the promise it wont happen again to me or anyone else, I am absolutely disgusted to receive the attached letter from yourselves.
Not only is it extremely upsetting to continue to receive these letters its complete incompetence on the part of the hospital to continue to send them. Also to add insult to injury its saying Ive missed an appointment in the future! And yes I am obviously going to miss the appointment, as I am not pregnant and thank you so much for reminding me of that!
Do not send me another of these appointment letters, I dread to think what the next one could contain. If you do send another one I will seriously consider legal action as nothing else seems to be stopping you!"
