Hospital appointment...

Ok so yesterday was my due date and I was meant to see midwife today but am unable to get to her cause of the snow. She has booked me an appointment at the hospital for 29th when I will be 41 +2 and I was just wondering if anyone knows what will happen at this appointment will they do a sweep or induce me? I really hope babbas here before then, can't imagine feeling like this for another week!x

Ahh seems like ages away but it will fly! I hope baby is here before then too, would be nice before Xmas really! They prob will do a sweep. X

I would imagine she'll do a sweep then. I'm having a sweep at 41 +3 which is Boxing Day - the midwife is coming round to do it - nice!

Hope your little one decides to come sooner rather than later!

Ah thanks girls! I really hope hell be here before Christmas too but I can't see it happening, its just sods law really!
Ooh sweep on boxing day, at home as well! That should be fun lol hope it gets things moving for you hun xx

SPC - boxing day sweep? better invite her to have some xmas lunch grub before, and she might then do a really good job with you! Hope it works

I had my 40+12 appointment at the hospital yesterday. Round here, this is the point where they offer induction or a sweep, I also had a sweep on Thursday last week (I declined induction for the time being). They may just offer a sweep, but they may also give you the induction option, so go perhaps go prepared!

Hope you don't need the appointment though!

I wonder what the chances are of me having the option of sweep/being induced, will have to ask midwife tomorrow.
So, if they say I can be induced that day do I have to stay there, take my hospital bag etc? I'm so stupid sometimes I don't know a thing about being induced!xx

I would have thought so. I had mine in the car, just in case I didn't manage to escape.

Cool, I'm finally all packed now anyway so if midwife says they might give me the option then ill take it all with me! Am really hoping he comes before then though, feel like I've been pregnant forever and the thought of being pregnant for another couple of weeks is really getting me down!
Have been petrified of giving birth for the whole of my pregnancy but now I just wanna get in and get it done I don't care about the pain anymore!xx
