Horrible cold, what can I take?

Hello all,

Its been a really hectic couple of weeks and i think all the stress of the amnio (clear thank goodness) plus running around has conspired to make me ill! I have the worst sore throat and achey joints. Apart from pointless paracetamol does anyone have some suggestions on self help? Im trying hotwater and honey/lemon but its not really shifting it.

I'd sell my granny if i could take some neurofen cold and flu!

Sorry,i think paracetamol may be ur limit,oh and lots of vitamin c,wen I had a cold I started takin pregnacare again to make sure I was gettin plenty of vitamins to boost my immune system xx

Ugh ive had a cold for like a month and a half. Cant shift it atall, bloody pain aint it lol

Are there any of those antibac strepsils you can take in pregnancy, the ones that kill the sore throat bug, not ust sooothe it?
