I know...I'm planning on ordering nappies and formula from boots online and collecting from the airport to save some room in suitcase! Its a nightmare going out for the day so I'm gonna need a week to pack lol. We are going to sa coma, never been before, wanted somewhere close on a plane and not too hot...you?

We chose for the same reasons. We are going to porte pollenca. A few people i know have been and sounds fab!! Cant wait xx

Im taking lo to seaside tomorrow and i have my normal changing bag plus the boots one! God knows how im going to pack for holiday x

Porte pollensa is lovely- we went last September when h was 5 months

Where abouts are you staying- we were on outskirts of the town, but it was great cos the 15-20 mon walk on usually meant H fell asleep!

We took B to Turkey at 11 months and stayed in a villa.
I took far too many clothes as we had a washing machine so if you have access to one I would cut down on washable items. I didn't take any toys, just my iPad with cartoons and fisher price apps to play with.
I allowed for 2 swim nappies a day which was about right. I took 4 packs of wipes - wasn't enough! B had a bad tummy one day from acclimatising to to the food so went through one pack in a day. We could easily get more but they were a lot more expensive.
I took some fruit pouches which were really good for encouraging fluids - kept them in the fridge and B would drink it straight from the pouch.
First aid kit - thermometer (essential for us as my friends lo was really poorly out there) savlon for stings. Diorylite, nurofen sachets etc.
Ready made formula was much easier for travelling but we took powder as well. We boiled bottle water and kept jugs of in the fridge as drinking water for the kids.
Spare drinking bottles for water - luckily I took 2 as B launched one of his and it broke!
Hope you have a lovely time x

This is really helpful, thanks! Do you know whether you can take the cartons of formula in your hand luggage (through airport) lo isn't on lots of milk but I want to make sure we have enough with us just in case (famous last words) x

Is it best to pick up a few jars at the airport than pack them??? So confusing going away! X

I'm thinking that twinkles, if I pre order some powder and cartons and collect from airport and just take a couple of pre made bottles with us (I think security just make you taste it) just checked and our rooms have kettle and microwave which should make things a little easier...jars are heavy so def do that...

We took 2 lots of the screw top formula and tasted that and his squash straight after to get rid of the taste! My friend packed powdered formula in her hand luggage and it was a faff as she had lots of powders in little containers, one flask with hot boiled water and another with cold water and empty bottles. I just had 2 empty bottles and 2 formula bottles. He normally only has one bottle a day but I packed 2 in case of delays.

With food we went through south terminal at gatwick which sent as big as north and the boots had hardly anything. To be honest I wasn't looking for jars as B eats anything we do. My friend took pouches and ready meals for her kids and they had to taste them at customs.

Also I put B onto hipp organic formula as the ready made bottles have about 18oz in each so I knew we would have enough.

They make you open pouches to taste? Even if the seal isnt broken? I am off in 2 weeks. Ive got the stuff for cases covered. But what about hand luggage. Id planned on taking 2 empty bottles ans 2 cartons of aptamil. Will I need to open these at customs? Im flying from blackpool and haven't been there before so ive no idea what the boots will be like in the departure lounge. Anyone know? Xx
