i have found Hipp Fennel tea for babies 1 week + and Hipp Herbal tea (for easy digestion) for babies 1month and up in the Polish aisle of my local tesco.

bought one of each! not tried them yet though........ a bit scared.

Polish aisle?! Never even noticed that let alone a tea?!?! Ha!!

Will be stalking to see who's tried it, never heard of it before! Sounds yummy tho! X

supposed to help with teething, wind, colic etc etc. I have heard people SWEAR by it for wind and colic, which is why I have bough it.

I have had a look and Amazon US sell them, and have instructions in English too! I am going to try the herbal tea tomorrow instead of her water. I only give her 20-30mls of water a day though, and the mix is made up to 100mls so I am not sure what good it will do her giving such a small amount.....

I am Russian and Fennel tea for wind is a big thing there so I would think its safe to give it to a baby plus its HIPP, not some dodgy brand

exactly what I was thinking, and they have a sticker stuck on the top giving the ingredients etc in English, so have to have passed EU guidelines to be sold here.

I have no idea why Hipp dont stock it normally in the UK though?

Ohhh I might give it a wee go, sounds good! I actually wish I'd started Harry on the hipp formula, but I didn't hear much about it till after he finally settled on aptimal comfort and by that time wed already changed his milk a few times so didn't wanna do it again! Xxx

I guess its cultural thing, Russia is quite keen on herbs and homeopathic stuff so they tailor products according to demand. Like any fast food chains.
Blini for breakfast in McD:lol:

i think its been great for Freya's immune system. I did breastfeed for 2 weeks, and she got expressed milk for a week after that but her immune system is amazing. She has breezed through both lots of jabs that she has had so far (which is apparently a sign of good immune system) and everyone around her has been ill at some point, me and Husband both had bad colds, her Nana & Papa had vomiting bugs, she has even been in contact with another baby that had chicken pox (just before the spots appeared) and she has not had so much as a sniffle! bless her and that friendly bacteria in the Hipp milk!

I think Hope gives her baby something similar, I'd never heard about it until she mentioned it and I've never seen it in the shops.

Hi ladies I am polish and those teas are absolutely safe to give to your baby I use to give it to my boy but he wasn’t that keen on it. They are really popular in Poland and they do lot of different flavours fennel, camomile ect. You can find them in any polish shop.

I've got fennel tea :) works a treat for unsettled tummy and colic on a night xx

Ooh I may have to have a look into that if it helps with teething. Do they just drink it as a warm drink in a bottle/beaker then? x

I am v interested. If you struggle to get them to take water could you add it to a small amount of formula to give to them?

Amelie drunk 40 ml x 3 per day of baby tea since first week.I only stopped that because she is not even drinking her milk now.
It's the only thing I am going to offer besides water to her when the time will come with weaning.
Every single baby has them in Greece since birth so they sell them all over the supermarket and pharmacies.
Most of milk brands there are having theirs own baby tea.
Also btw some of them taste delicious not that I was helping Amelie to finish hers lol  if any left.
If I let her she can drink a whole bottle of that lol.
In Greece babies take it warm for colics and to help them sleep or settle back to sleep in the middle of the night and older babies or teething babies get it room temperature usually from a baker.

I make the tea in a sterile bottle cool it and put it in the fridge.

You can either add it to made up formula or have it as a drink. Ollie won't drink it so it gets added to his bottles!!

xx

well she had her first bit of tea, and she loved it!!

I made it up using cooled boiled water, 1tsp (its granules) in 100ml of water in a sterile bottle. I never give her that much water so I just gave her her usual 30ml, and her eyes lit up at the first taste and she screamed when I took the bottle away!

it was the Herbal tea I used today, it has fennel and chamomile in it and it smelt gorgeous. Supposed to help her digestion so we shall see how her poopy is today.

They are the same with those that I have!!
Amelie likes the herbal but she truly loves the only camomile one :)
I usually let he have what she wants if she drinks her milk that day :)

she has pooped already! not sure if it was the tea or not......

but it was lovely yellow/brown seedy healthy looking poop.

not the green/sage stinky paste we have been getting for the last few weeks..

This is what I used for Sophie when she had colic and I also swear by it and is so effective! It's what I suggest to people with colicky or windy babies x
