Hi Ladies,

It's about time I brought a highchair for Devon,

I really can't decide between these two - both have as good revieiws, both more of less in the same price bracket, don't really want to spend much, and it has to match my currently half painted/DIY'd - kitchen plans!! (pistachio green and white!)

Lovely colour /pattern, love it having white in coloursceme, looks classier in my kitchen, but does not have any layback options, but Devon is getting older anyway, even though he is struggling to sit up! (£29)

This has layback options, but black straps, although maybee more practical from food stains than white! but does not look as nice to be honest (£42)

Honestly, get the cheapy ikea one! I have one like those youve picked and its a nightmare to keep clean and wash etc. Im giving mine to my parents soon and buying the £14 one from ikea. Less of a footprint in the kitchen and super easy to clean! It is nice though. I like how comfy they look (not the ikea ones, the padded ones)

(also...I believe youve posted the same link twice :) )

U posted the same one twice
I've heard great about that IKEA one, but we don't have a dinner table so I need the tray, I got a mamas & papas from argos, its green n white n in very happy with it xx

Thanks ladies, updated the links for two diff ones

Will have to look for the ikea one, although I want a tray too, no extra room round my table!

I prefer the Apple one, looks more comfy too

Green! I love green. We need a drool smiley. I love the apple one!! Ours reclines but I've only actually used it a couple of times when Sam fell asleep in it after lunch and I wanted to make him more comfortable while I cleaned the kitchen  They'd have hated being reclined to eat in it. The only think I prefer about the other one is that it has that little solid bit that goes between their legs to stop them sliding down in it - you only really need that when they're little though x

I think the apple one looks nicer but the chicco one seems better to use. I have a similar one to the first at my MILs and it's a pain to get them in and out as the straps are awkward and you can't remove the tray, so I'd say go for the chicco one, looks easier to clean too x

I bought a reclining one yesterday and its brilliant :)
I tried Maisie out in the ones in ikea but she just wasnt comfy in them and i wanted a tray.
So i'd go for the second one xx

The ikea one has a tray. You have to buy it seperatly but it only costs about £4 :)

Im not a saleman for ikea I swear! lol

I'd get the 2nd one the recline function I love! Bab can feed own juice in that position abd has even fallen sleep! The White straps are a nightmare too ha x

OOOh thanks ladies, fokr your ideas and feedback

I think I'm going to get the Second one, the Chico one, it's not as nice but may be better for Devon and has more options, and easier to clean etc

Lol! I sound liek saleman for ikea too! We have antelop and it is awesome. I'd say go for the one with the tray but you already decided anyway! Meal times are messy with us and Its good to be able to put the whole thing in the shower! (and Owen but not in it obviously....although...) :)

Ha thanks , funny as I don't have a shower tho! ha , the tray moves forward to several different notches so as Devon gets fatter it should accomodate him

I did order the second one today, as it folds , the ikea one doesn't do the same, got a discount too, (will put the code in the freebies/discount section in a min) so paid just £39.99 with free delivery in the end:lol:

Thanks very muchly ladies for your help and advice

Just in case anybody else is looking through the forums (I just realised the age of this post), I can recommend the Chicco Polly highchair.

By now the price will have come down a bit but it is a really well made highchair with loads of adjustable bits. The sliding tray comes completely off so it doesn't get in the way. The seat reclines right back and the leg rest comes up too.

If cheap is what you want go for it but we have had the Chicco for two years and our newest 'little one' is about to start using too. Value for money because it lasts.

(Just my opinion)
:)

As this has been bumped recently with a reply - Just to feedback ladies, I love my highchair , and for £39.99 it's a bargain

The removable tray is fab for cleaning, the bar between the legs catches food and toys before they drop! and stop him sliding out when you are unbuckling straps. It cleans up a treat and still looks perfect condition with the dark straps! He has fallen asleep in it and so the layback was useful too. The best bit is actually the folding , you can do it one handed , also open it with one hand and both legs! We have ours folded up between each meal.
