Hi girls havnt been around much been feeling heartbroken. I had my swabs and apparently I had clamydia. Obviously treated it now. But Im angry how come this was not picked up at my smear...and upset as I will have had it over 3 and half years. As you can imagine Im not frightened I have damaged tubes and scarring...and I cant have any scans until hubbys 2 SA are back, he only did first one yesterday and there is a 2 month wai for the next one.
Just feel deflated

Why can't you be scanned right away? Whether hubby's results came back bad or good, they'd still have to scan you. Don't let them put you off.

Hopefully any damage will be minimal

thanks for your replys. I can have the scans but not until we get our referal from fertility specialist. The doctor said it doesn mean that there will be any scarring at all but because its been 19 months now of trying i feel that there prob is. Im praying husbands sa comes back normal else i might just hit rock bottom

Sorry to hear your news Hun, try not to worry you might be absolutely fine in terms of your tubes, your tubes are quite big in comparison to the tiny egg or sperm so even if there is damage they will find a way through in most cases.

Good Luck for OH's sperm test, I wonder why they are doing two? They only normally do two when there is a low result the first time.

Also I had an ultrasound a few years ago before TTC because of pelvic pain so I don't see why they can't send you for one now anyway, from my experience with the NHS you have to be a bit more assertive and tell them what you want.

i think they do two because a blokes sperm can differ from one month to the next and maybe they would retest after again anyway once we got a referal. I think it differs from place to place. I think they want to wait to do the scans because in thei eyes its a ttc issue and not in pain or anything. They prob just cant be bothered

I have been taking AC and eating lots of pineapple, particularly the core in smoothies and have seen great results, I have OV'd on the earliest day ever CD15, when I'm usually about CD20!

So even if you don't need these things to help unblock tubes they may help you with other things!

I thought the same, that they only did a second sperm test if the first was bad or borderline to save some money.

I know it can fluctuate but not massively, so if it comes back very good then at worst it would still be good.

There was a women with chlamydia scarring on embarrassing illnesses not long ago but i didn't mention it before because her scarring was pretty bad. Although i thought better of it because she had symptoms that you don't have and she was still told she should still be able to conceive naturally.

It causes the uterus to contract?? I may be wrong though!

Yes I saw that that was before I found out about me! Lol. I remember them saying she should still be able to concieve Im just hoping im in the same boat. I asked about if hubby would still need 2nd sample if first was normal and dr said yes. I couldnt see the point myself I mean if it was borderline I could understand that. I have not heard this surely tho if it was that bad you would not be advised to eat in pregnancy ??? I shall have a read

Yeah i think it has the same affect as evening primrose oil so I'm guessing that would be ok. I'd check with a doctor who specialises in fertility first though.. Xx

Nothing is ever clear cut with ttc is it you can never actuallt get an answer. Maybe I will try it and stop at ovulation , see what happenes

I guess after trying for so long anything is worth a shot!

I even considered using egg whites the other day!!!
