Hi Ladies

I am still here, just lying low for while............... feeling ok about things, still confused as to why I feel very normal. Haven't even cried since losing the baby. I reckon all this TTC stuff gives you very thick skin. I'm feeling sick a lot and headachy and my IBS is really bad, think my body is kinda exhuasted.

Its 7 weeks on Weds till my operation. Part of me can't wait but then also part of me can as I'm worried about the next part. I've deffo come to terms with not having a baby, I'm going the other way and kind of thinking about our life without children now, very odd.

I'm wondering whether, providing I get my af back in a few weeks - i.e. before the operation, if it would be a good idea to take Agnus Castus for a bit to see if it sorts out long cycles etc..... what do you think?

Also, I got a book on my kindle called the PCOS handbook, its very good at explaining things so I'm trying to learn more about the condition. It answers soooooooooo many questions, things you wouldn't even think are related!

Anyway, thats all from me. LouiseB, how was the holiday??? good I hope xxxxxxxxx

Hiya Sarah :)

I'm really sorry about the pregnancy not working out for you

Sorry that you feel so crappy but I think that reconsidering your situation and the alternatives is pretty normal. I'm sure it won't come to that.

The holiday was great thanks - i definately recommend getting away even for a few days if you can manage it. Sticking yourself in the middle of no where with nothing to do but walk and talk can do wonders for cleansing your mind :)

It might sound weird but our lives have totally changed since we got back off holiday. We had fallen into a bit of a rut and now we are all go go go and getting so much done and feeling so much better for it.

I'm not sure about taking AC to be honest. I'm yet to see anyone getting the same kind of results advertised... but it's really upto you. There are alternatives.

Hi Sarah,

Good to hear from you.

If I was you I wouldn't mess with AC now, I'd get yourself really healthy and I'm sure after your op you'll be given some help, my cycle has lengthened twice on AC now.

Hope your IBS gets better.

xx

Thanks girls :)

Louise - glad you had a good time. We are going away in 3 weeks to Italy, cant wait. Also I've booked a surprise weekend away for our anniversay, only a hotel about half hour away but its in 2 weeks and hubby has no idea! :). This will sound weird but since losing the baby we are also kind of 'out of a rut' too. I don't know if its relief we are feeling or what but something is making us a bit happier - perhaps its just getting some answers.

Think I'll leave the AC for now then...........just wish there was some special cure for PCOS.....as I'm sure we all do xxxxx

Hey Hun,

It's great you have lot's to look forward to and keep you busy and sounds like you have a great Hubby too- enjoy! :)

I cut out carbs a few weeks ago and felt great, it's good for PCOS too and also for the bikini, tripple whammy, maybe give it a try...:)

I did the South Beach diet, you can find it online.

xx

Hope you are doing ok sweetie xxx

I bought the book pcos for dummies which has some good tips of foods to avoid etc..

I have been following a low GI diet or as close to as possible, the main things to cut out are sweets and white carbs. So I have swapped normal potatoes for sweet potatoes and my hovis bread for a soya bread and pitta bread.

The good news is that milk chocolate is ok to eat .... Phew!! lol

Thanks for the tips girlies :). I already eat a low GI diet and no processed foods etc for IBS. I have mega sugar cravings though (so much so I really think I should have my blood sugar levels checked!) and feel exhausted if I cut them out... so it is good news I can still have chocolate and the odd pudding!! At the moment I eat lots of the low GI oat cakes - I have food 'phases'!

Vicky - how are things with you?
Maybe - hope you figured out your progesterone issues.

I eat lots of the low GI oat cakes, Vicky - how are things with you?

Hey Hun

I tried oat cakes for the first time today, had them with some ham and extra light philidelphia they werent to bad, not as nice as crackers but if it helps!!

I am doing ok, am in limbo land at the moment, I am on my second course of clomid but I dont think it has worked, so now I just have to wait and see what happens which is so annoying as it could take a few months for me to get a period due to my pcos :wall2:

Still .... there is always alcohol to help me through ;)
