Hi there,

Just started ttc with my bf after we thought I was pregnant last month...turned out I wasn't but we decided to try. We had a loss on January that was a surprise pregnancy but we were both very sad and made us realise what we wanted. I have 2 girls with my ex and this would be my bfs 1st.

So I'm wondering about ordering some ic's where is best to get them from and how reliable are they?

Thanks 😁

Sorry about your loss back in Jan.

I personally don't get on with the IC's they don't seem to detect my surge and i can't stand all the faffing about with holding your wee for a certain amount of hours and can't take in any fluids etc.
This month i purchased the Clear Blue advanced opk and its brilliant. You use it once a day with your first morning pee and it will either give you a solid circle which means not fertile, a flashing smiley that you have high fertility and a solid smiley with is peak fertility, your about to ovulate.
I got my first flashing smiley today and i also did an IC with it too see what that gave me and it gave me a negative. Just goes to show it doesn't work for me.

On the other hand, loads of ladies use them on here and they work perfectly for them so i suppose it just depends on the person.

When i did use them i got them from ebay. i think it was about £4-£5 for 30 of them x

Thank you, it was tough.

Oh cool!! That’s great thanks for the info...is it the same for the pregnancy tests?

Sorry was you talking about IC pregnancy tests and not opks? sorry i mis-read if that is what you mean.
i also don't think the IC tests are very reliable tbh. i would always go for a supermarket test, or an FRER x

Yeah, sorry 😐 should have been more specific. Yeah that’s what I was thinking...just wanted to have a few on hand. Thank you!

One Step OPKs have always worked for me.

The One Step pregnancy test worked for me at 10DPO with my daughter, but based on others experiences on here, FRER tests are more reliable for picking up early BFP. x

Oh that’s good, I’ll have a look at those! Thank you 😊

I used One Step IC's for tracking ovulation and to give me my bfp at 11dpo.

For the price, you really cant fault them. I would say try them and see how you get on, especially when all you will be losing is a few pounds.

The pregnancy tests worked fine for me, but i know some girls dont get on with them. I tested everyday for 5 days with them and the line gradually got darker, then did a digi on the 6th day, but as Emma said a FRER is defo the best kind - im just tight

Good Luck :dust:

I keep my fingers crossed for a positive outcome xx

Thanks for the advice, I ordered some I figured it can’t hurt to give them a try.

Means I can try a acouple before af is due. Eeeek!

Xx

The One Step OPKs worked well for me so they were the only ones I used. Ordered off Amazon. Never used the cheapie pregnancy tests as we were a long time trying so I never tested early as I was far too tight by that point!! FRER seems to be the favourite around here for early testing though.
