Here we go again - my journey to no 2 :-)

Hey guys so we’ve just started ttc no 2 after being blessed with a baby girl in 2015 who is now a big 3! This is our first proper trying month and although I think we could have maybe dtd a bit more than we did this month I know we’ve hit a couple of fertile days! I thought I’d start a wee journal so here it is. We had a rough road with our daughter with no hint of a positive for 2 years between 2013 - 2015. It nearly broke our marriage. Finally caught in then miscarried then happily discovered I was pregnant 12 weeks later. Our daughter was born at 35 weeks in 2015 and was a tiny 4lb! She is one amazing wee girl and it’s taken us this last 3 years to stop gazing at her in wonder and even consider that we could be lucky enough for a second child. I am fully prepared it may take a while given the last time which worries me a bit as I’m 39 next month and it’s all a bit daunting to go through again.. Dtd twice this month and am now officially in the 2ww. First testing day is the 27th. I am feeling rough this month my stomach feels like it’s been punched but I actually think I’ve got a wee bug nothing that exciting. Anyway here’s my journey.....we are finally ready to welcome another wee miracle into our lives x

How long have you been trying Nikki? It’s all consuming I know. I couldn’t ever see it happeningnand it seriously was the toughest time. We moved house and upped our game hugely the month it happened dtd. I do believe the house move had something to do with it as I wasn’t so consumed by ttc at that time. Also weirdly I saw a psychic!!!!! Make of this what you will she turned round to be and said you are ttc. I said yes and she said you will not get pregnant drinking Diet Coke!!!!!!!!!

I stopped drinking it straight away and still don’t touch the stuff. My husband thinks I’m mad but you never know if that helped! Xxx

Sore boobs today. Ages till testing! My 3 year old doesn’t give a hoot and keeps diving on top of me leaning dead head ouch!!! Now on cd32. Technically could test from tomorrow as I had a 32 day cycle last month, however I average 39! So trying to hold out till then xxx

Hi Quinn. Good luck and hopefully your journey to baby #2 is shorter just because the first baby took a long time to conceive doesn't mean the next one will! x

We are onto cycle #19 now.....have had all the usual tests and been sent away now to keep trying until the spring when they will refer us for IVF if no joy by then which will be 2 years TTC

I hope you have a smoother journey this time. There does seem to be a lot of stories of ladies who struggled with one and caught much easier second time round. Best of luck to you xx
