Hemorrhoids

At his eight week screening, the doctor said the lump I have been concerned about on Jacob's bum could be a hemorrhoid (which although I had never seen before was what I thought), but that they are very unusual for such young babies. He has had it since he was born. If it is still there in two months he will be referred to a bowel specialist. Usually if he poos it causes him a lot of distress. Everyone kept telling me it was normal for babies to strain without really listening to me. He sometimes SCREAMS in pain, and has woken us up in the middle of the night doing it, nearly giving us heart attacks! Has anyone else had this with their babies and if so, could you tell me what was done about it?

Or poor baby, Cooper used to scream sometimes when he was younger i just used to cuddle him and sit him up and rub the bottom of his back but he didn't have piles or anything. Is he consipated?.. small hard poo's? If so believe you can get something you pop up there bum to ease the poo out. Big hugs to your LO ..and you there's nothing worse than hearing them in pain xxx
