If anyone read amy's thread last night, your know I dyed my hair and it went wrong!
I had highlights but dyed it blonde all over but it's gone patchy and looks stupid!!
What can I do to even it out without putting the blonde on again cos I think it'll be too much and if I put a dark brown on will it cover?

It looks like this... Please don't laugh!

This morning!!

Looks so silly :(

aaawww hun, :hugs: I'm afraid I can't really advise, but in theory, would say that a brown should even it out. I wouldn't necessarily go for a dark brown though as it may or could turn more black than brown. Probably safer with a medium brown. You need Emmab!!! Or any other hairdresser girlies on here! Good luck :) :hugs: xxx

Thanks Hun! I was dark brown last year but it made my face really pale so I had high lights put through which looked lush but it costs so much to keep having done!! Having hair's too much hard work!! Lol

oh tell me about it lol. I had a really rich red last year - was lush but a bugger to keep up! When my roots started coming through it actually looked like I was going grey! I wasn't lol it was just the contrast of my brown hair against the rich red! Really need to get to the hairdressers myself asap really. Just cannot afford too at the moment. My hair is so long and thick it's not even worth me attempting to do it myself as I always need to buy 3-4 packs of dye to cover it all! Nightmare! The things we have to do to look good eh?

Hope you manage to get it sorted though hun. The dark brown... I've used dark brown before and it turned my hair practically black lol I've been all manor of colours lol! Madness! xx

Ask Erin she's the expert Hun. O/hs mum did that too, died it brown and it went sludge green!! Be careful x

U may have to bite the bullet and get your hairdresser to sort it if u can't cope with it the way it is  x

I think I'm gonna have too. I don't think home kits are gonna sort it out. Why do I come up with these silly ideas?!! Lol

I think ur best bet is to go to the hairdressers,i think it needs pre-pigging b4 dying (pigment put on 1st).

If u decide to risk it and do it yourself then make sure u get something that's a shade lighter that what u want cos ur hairs gonna b so porous that's it's just gonna suck the colour in. Ideally acolour with some warmth in it.

Don't panic-it can b fixed :hugs: xx

If you put something on it yourself chaz, you MUST make sure its got gold in it (any colour with a number 3 in it) otherwise you will be very very khaki. Xx

Thank you Erin! I don't know whether to chance it or not! Hair dressers cost so much but at least it shouldn't go wrong!

I do think it's worth payin the money for a professional to do it-at least u should end up the colour u want instead of havin to dye it darker to cover it. Xx

I have dyed my hair so many times and i never learn and i should know better being a hairdresser lol

When mine went like the 1st pic the first thing i did was put brown on it and it went all different shades of brown. its deffo a salon trip to fix it :)

I read my post lol! like the other girls said stay away from browns as i had this happen and went green on new years eve was awful. go for a warm tone if your going to go darker. i think wot happened your hair was your regrowth went a different colour to the ends and the high lights a different colour again. i would have gone for more and more highlights to bring it up. do you mind going darker? because if you really want to be blonde im sure a hairdresser can save it hun its not as bad as you think. brave it out and go to the salon xxxx

I've decided I'm gonna go to the hair dressers but it might not be for another few weeks! OH's away next weekend so I won't be able to go until the weekend after as I have no one to look after the kids! I'll have to carry on wearing my hat until then! Everyone who's seen my hair has laughed! It's so embarrassing!
Thanks for the advice girls x x
