Hey ladies,

Quite new to here but would love some advice please??!!

I am 7 weeks pregnant tomorrow, I'm so tired I can barely keep my eyes open at this moment in time, the feeling sick is constant (worse at night) and my boobs are growing at a rate I cant keep up with! Yet another new bra is needed. Is there anything I can do to try perk myself up abit and maybe help with feeling sick??

Thanks

xx

Hi there and welcome to PF, I'm 7 weeks tomorrow too! I'm pretty tired too and am keeping a low profile at work and doing my work slower than normal in an effort to contain my energy. Not sure how long I'll be able to get away with this but as I'm the only one who does my job I'm hoping to be able to fool them for a while more. As for the boobs I can't fit in all my bras but luckily have some older ones which have stretched a bit and are more comfortable. TOUCH WOOD no sickness yet, I'll leave that to the other unfortunate ladies suffering with that. There are quite a few sickness threads on here which might help.
(Please god don't let me wake up feeling sick tomorrow!) ;-)

Hi and welcome! The only thing that perked me up over the worst weeks was my wonderful DH and some nookie! Took my mind off the nausea, made me feel sexy and was fun.....Erm until he went to nibble my nipple and I nearly hit the bloody roof!!! Keep away from the boobs is sooo hard for men cos they just see our boobs as full and formed while to us they no longer are boobs but big sore rocks....

Sorry Im not much help lol.....

Hi

My dr gave me anti nausea tablets and some different folic acid with anti nausea in as well. I can't say they got rid of it completly but they do take the worst away. I feel I'm slowly starting to pick up now though fingers crossed.

So maybe if it gets worse you could ask the dr for some, if you want I'll get you the name of them. Only thing is they make you feel drowsy, great!!!!!

Hi when I was at about your stage I also felt really tired and my boobs felt so heavy but I was fortunate not to be sick at all. For me it really helped with the tiredness if I had a good nap (an hour to an hour and a half) as soon as I got in from work. I'm sure others will have sickness tips for you - crackers, sparkling water etc x

Thanks all for replying, I shall have a good look tonight when I get in from work for sickness threads etc.

I find it quite hard to stop feeling exhausted mid afternoon, I work in retail so on my feet from 9 until 5.30 then by the time I get home its full on nausea whilst trying to keep my eyes open! I'm currently sat on the bus to work with only a piece of chewing gum between me and throwing up all over the person in front of me!

When do we start to glow and look half human again?! Lol

Have a good day girls!

Xx

Hello and Welcome To The PF :)

Ahh well what can i suggest for sickness? When i was suffering really badly i used to nibble on plain toast and it seemed to settle my stomach a little even though i felt nauseous it seemed to delay me actually being sick and it made sure i was eating something. Sickness bands are also amazing, im sure you can get a few from your local chemist; i swear by them!

I suffered again the same as you with exhaustation and i still am! What i find helps is as soon as you get in, relax into a warm bath with candles and a magasine to take the stress and strain off, then have some nice toast haha or dinner if you can stomach it, then pop up to bed for an early night. Keep a bucket by your bed so that if you are sick you dont have to get up

My boobs have grown amazingly! Haha, i was rather large before hand but now i swear they come into the room before i do and people are begining to notice *embarrased face*, a good supportive sports bra with underwiring is best and go and get messured properly so you know youe wearing the right size; makes all the difference

Hope that helps xxx

PS - Im 11 weeks and still do not feel remotely human haha

My midwife said that the sickness is usually worse when your blood sugar is low. I don't know if it's just a coincidence, but on a day when my sickness was at a peak, I forced myself to eat one slice of toast with peanut butter and sliced banana on it (bananas are meant to be good for sickness) and I felt better almost immediately.
Like I said, I don't know if it was just coincidence that I suddenly felt better or if it was that toast actually working, but definitely worth a try! x

Lulu laroo i thinks that right about sugar levels been lower because if i have a chocolate bar or can of coke i feel alot better for a couple of hours. Chocolate always makes me feel better anyways lol. Robtons1st hope you feel better soon. xxx

Thanks for all the info, its greatly appreciated!!

Well I managed to get to work ok but unfortunately the sickness went into over drive and I had a pretty awful day. Actually feel ok at the min but the eyelids are going. Much to the delight of my OH as now he can play his xbox!! Lol

Well I will no doubt have the same sickness to battle tomorrow so I shall try out some of your tips and see how I go.

7+1 tomorrow :)

Night all

Xx
