Firstly, I am new to this forum site and would like to say a big hello to all who use the forum!!! My husband and myself have been trying to conceive for about 5 years now and still with no joy. I have had all sorts of tests done and they have all come back normal, so my husband finally went for a sa test. We had the results back today, but cannot get to see our gp for another 2 weeks to discuss these. Can anyone help me try to understand these and tell me if they are good or bad. Here goes!!!!!!

AGGLUTINATION - ABSENT
MORPHOLOGY - 4% NORMAL FORMS
VIABILITY - 72% (>58)
IMMOTILE - 60%
NON-PROGRESSIVE - 8%
SLUGGISH - 21%
EXCELLENT - 11%
PH - 8.8 NORMAL>7.2
CONCENTRATION - 5.40 X 10E6/ML (>15.00)
VOLUME - 7.2ML(>1.5)
LIQUEFACTION - INCOMPLETE

The sample was taken after 4 days of abstinence, and were tested within 1 hour of producing!!

Please can anyone help me to understand this!!!
Sorry if I bored you all!!!!

Thank you.

That's not a normal result i'm afraid.

He only has 5.4 million per ml and it should be 20 million per ml.

The total percentage for "excellent" and "sluggish" combined should be 50% and your hubby only has 32%.

Although he does have good volume, so i think that it would be advised that you have IUI, but not totally impossible for you to conceive naturally either ;)

Thanks for getting back to me so soon!!

So as you put it in plain English for me, it doesn't look that good does it!!!

Could you also explain for me, what is IUI? I may sound silly, but have not heard of that!!!!

many thanks :)
