Help with Owens sleep!

Hi ladies well Owens usually a good boy. He is now almost 3 months old and we feed him every 4 hours. Last feed an bath at 10pm and he sleeps ( with a little encouragement through the night) till 6am
My fellas aunty mentioned this is very late for his bath but in not sure how to change it. His feed before that is 6. Would you say bath him then? An try settle him and wake him up for a 10pm feed? He is just in a nice routine ATM and not sure whether to change it or will it lead to bad sleeping habits for him!? Thoughts plz xx

I'd try and bring the bath forward a bit, and pop him to bed around7/8 and see how he gets on. At that age Isla would be in bed for 7, wake around 11 and then 4ish. But when she started sleeping through cos I'd bathed her etc before "bedtime" everything was done until the morning iyswim.

i would deffo set an earlier bedtime, like say 8, bath and bottle and see how it goes! with my lo i used to dreamfeed him around 11pm and he would go until about 6am. it might be a bit up and down at first but he will gradually get to realise that it is bedtime after his bath (even though now u will do it a few hours earlier iykwim). it will also be better for you in the long run!! my lo used to go to bed at 9pm, but no he has a bat at 6.30pm, bottle and asleep by 7pm!!! i think i made the mistake of setting a bedtime routine when he was too old (through no fault of our own as we moved o****ries and houses and didnt even have a routine for me and o!) but it has worked! good luck! xxx

Hello ladies . So took your advice. By the time Owen had his bath and finished his bottle it was 7pm. ( usually feed him at 6) he went to sleep in his cot straight after and has been since although is slowly stirring now. he is due a bottle at 10pm so we shall see how that goes!! X

Well he drank about 4 oz when he normally drinks around 5 oz but he fell asleep feeding and wouldn't take anymore! let's see if sleeps through till 6.30! Fx xx

hey there, sounds like good advice given by the others, hope it works ok for you, seems to be good so far? we dream fed our Owen til about 7 or 8 months (ok so he had another one or two feeds after this too!! but the dreamfeed worked!). We started a bed at 7/8 routine from 1 month. It was amazing getting some evening time back to ourselves when he managed to settle.

Every time I read about your Owen I just go all gooey! Such a great name! ~(our Owen is now 13 months but I removed it from my ticker and avatar due to privacy reasons)
