Ok so didn't think I'd be posting this but Harry has been asleep since 12.45 so 3 hours which is fine in itself

But his last feed finished at 11.45 so that's 4 hours ago.

Am I right in thinking he shouldn't go longer than 4 hours without a feed

Do I leave him a bit longer and see if he wakes

Aarghh being a mummy is so hard!

Are you BF or FF?

If BF have you tried to latch him while he's sleeping?

Breast feeding- might try the latching on.

Good idea

Normally i would say don't wake a sleeping baby but. ... he is only young and that is 4hiurs since he finished a feed i would normally time them from start to start of feeds.

Plus its best to try and get them to understand day and night. Although he us young to be worrying about that too

Not much help sorry. X

As LO is still very young, I would wake him unless you can latch him without waking. X

My LO has slept on an off like this since birth. He will sometimes go 5 hours (rarely) but will then cluster feed so can spend 3+ hours on boob! I think big babies can go for longer, theo was 9lbs 9oz when he was born and he has never been a particularly hungry baby! I personally wouldn't wake him, sleep is so important for their brain development at this age, they will wake when they want food xx

As a newborn mw told us not to leave g more than 4 hours in day, and 5hours at night. Xxx
