Hi!

Hoping you ladies can give me some inspiration here!

When Sam is born, I want to give his daddy a present from him...

looking to spend between £50-£75 and only have afew weeks to get sorted just incase...

Basically what I'm looking to do is make him a box full of new daddy goodies.... thought it could be a good idea...any ideas what I can put in there?

Can be practical,quirky,fun...anything!

Thak you in advance :D

Haven't got any ideas but what a lovely thought!!

I wanted to get something for my DH too when I was preggers but LO didn't give me a chance to as he arrived 5 weeks early.

I bought Le some ear plugs and an eye mask off the baby for hristmas as a joke!!! I also got him a book called Your the daddy-its a fun blokes guide to babies, got it on Amazon

I also got him a mug with "Dishy daddy" on it-it was from a childrens cancer charity and they have a range of Yummy Mummy gifts-they do Dishy Daddy stuff like a mug and a tape measure...I can link you to website if you like??

You could get something personalised if you have an engraving shop near you. You could maybe have a pen or a beer glass or something else engraved saying something like NO1 DADDY and on the back Love From Sam.

My chap smokes, so i got him a daffidorf ciggar and bottle of champagne to celebrate.

From mother care i got him a daddies tip book, only a fiver. Its a humerous poket book.

And from boots some clarins facial products to keep him looking young. These were on offer when i bought them though! And some jonnies!!!!

Hope he likes the suprise as much as he will adore Sam.

Congratulations, keep us posted on how it goes.

That would be great thanks!

Just wanted to say I'm going to do a Daddy Bag for OH too kirlykird, and I think it's great to hear others do too, as I know my OH feels a bit distant sometimes with all the Mummy bits and bobs and no Daddy bits

Best Wishes with it, some great ideas there too!! :cheer:

You could also try this website: www.nappyhead.co.uk, they have some great stuff on there i.e. babygros which say "my daddy rocks" on the front. Recently bought one for a friend's newborn and the dad was chuffed to bits as you say the baby and the mother gets lots of attention but not so much the dads...

You can get a lot of personalised stuff made on ebay. If you have a scan pic you could have a mug made with the pic and a personalised message. I had my Dh a mug made for Xmas with Leorah's pic and Daddy's little diva on and he said it was the best present he ever got and loves shwing it off!

I also wrote a funny poem for him from Leorah and put it in a frame.

The daddy pack sounds great

What a good idea !!!

In fact its so good...i've decided to do one myself!!

I just ordered that Stephen Giles book..I ordered one of those Dishy Daddy mugs.. I just bought a romper suit from Next which reads 'I love my daddy'..am gonna get a daddy picture frame for his first photo with the baby.. put a nappy in it for his first nappy change (not my husbands first nappy change..the babys!!).. and other bits and bobs..put it all in a basket and put cellophane round it with a big bow!

I think he'll love it!!

Thanx ladies :D

LOL this reminds me of what my sister made for me...well us...she got a box and put stuff in it like pot noodles coz it would be the only thing we would have time to eat, a porn magazine for my OH coz she said he will need it becoz of my stitches and generally lack of sleep...a box of mens size tissues to compliment the magazine! some ear plugs, a sock...she said it would keep the baby quiet (put a sock in it) it was only a joke, please dont call social services lol! I cant remember what else she put in but it sure made us laugh. Oh yeah, a box of condoms to stop me having anymore baba's any time soon  This probably aint helped u 1 bit but i thought id share lol.
