I need some cervix-feeling ladies to help me out.

Decided to randomly check cervix today, something I don't do regularly cuz it's a bit ew and a lot subjective.. So I heard. But to my alarm it was soft, high and very open. It's morning and we're guests in someone's house and have plans to be out all day. A) what is going on?! I'm meant to be 4dpo. B) my period is due in 9 days. If I've ovulated super late, isn't this a bad sign? If I were to BD as soon as we get back today, and I conceive, isn't it possible there won't be enough time for the little bub to travel down to implant? :S and to think I turned down the hubby last night cuz I'm exhausted from all the sex this week, thinking, I'm out of the fertile window... We last DTD 2 nights ago. Aaargh.... My positivity for the month is starting to drown...

Anyone know what might be happening?

When you say you are meant to be 4dpo, what are you going by? Did you do an opk? Or are you going by an app?

I'm going by my app this month as my OH insisted enough with the OPKS and not to bring them while on holiday. But for the last 3 months, the app has been correct anyway.

Going by CM as well, I had ewcm 4-7 days ago but not much since then.

Hi Janeyjan. Ive not had much luck with cervix feeling tbh so dont feel very well qualified to respond. But...i think your cervix can remain high and soft right up until af due...not sure about it being open though? If you dtd 2 days ago you are likely to be covered but worth trying to squeeze another quickie in if you feel up to it....i empathise...i was knackered last month! X

If you dtd 2 nights ago you're still covered. Even if you get a pos opk, you can still ovulate up to 48 hours after the positive so it may be possible that you ovulate slightly later than you thought. I don't really trust apps. I don't monitor my cervix so not sure what that means. The only way to know for certain if you've ovulated is to track your temp or if your CM goes white and sticky. Sometimes the EWCM disappears just before ovulation. I always find this stuff is so much more confusing and complicated than it's supposed to be! I'd dtd tonight if you can. It's meant to be better every other day anyway. Good luck!

We managed to sneak a quick one in. When I felt my cervix just before we DTD, it was a little less soft and there was a little white sticky cm. I read somewhere that the cervix can stay open and soft and high for a day or so after ovulation.. So hoping it's that! Thanks guys...

When I got pregnant and didn't know it yet, my cervix was high and hard to the touch at around 5-6 DPO. But your cervix is not a very good indication on pregnancy apparently since it differs in women.
Hope you get you bfp soon!:cheer:
