Help me before I cry!!!!

Can someone please help me to download a picture from my PC as an avatar.

I have read all the instructions but i'm not a wizz on the computor and the picture is still too large!!

Getting frustrated and feel a bit silly!

I have no idea how to get all these lovely pics - help!

They have an option for reducing the pictures size.
