Hi

really not sure what to do. For the last 2 weeks i had been feeling baby move and stuart even put his had on my stomach and baby gave some really good kicks i think that he felt too. But for the last two days i'm not sure if i've felt baby move. We've been really busy at work so i've not been worried during the day and wednesday and thursday evening we were busy too so i just thought that i wasn't noticing it as much.

Since last getting home from work yesterday i've made a concious effort to relax to see if i can feel anything and i don't think i have. There was one point last night when i wondered for a second but then realised it was wind  . I'm really worried. I want to ring the hospital but its my husbands birthday today and if its bad news i don't want it on his birthday. I'm only 22 weeks so would they be able to do anything anyway.

I'm now sat in the office crying but will have to put a brave face on in a bit (he's just fixing something downstairs) he knows i'm worried but i'm trying not to show how worried.

Thaks for listening i just needed to tell someone.

hun

if you are worried i would call midwife to get chaecked out its prob nothing as you been so busy but best check it out

Do you have a number for a 24 hr midwife team? I not there is absolutely no harm at all in contacting or popping down to your local hospital to get it checked, and to save any more worry!

Im sure it will be fine, but always better to get things checked for peace of mine

Oh hun I'm sure it's nothing to worry about at all  I know that's easy for me to say though
You will have such relief if you just go get checked - that's what I would do. You will feel so much better

Oh hun i do hope the baby is just having a well earned rest but mayb if you cant settle your mind you should ring the m/w just for advice.

Hiya hun, i had exactly the same thing at 23 weeks ! It used to feel like she was doing cartwheels in my belly then all of a sudden it stopped after a day of nothing i rang my local unit and went in, all they would do was listen to babys heartbeat they said it was too early to do anything and as i already had a doppler i knew her heartbeat was fine but went in anyway!

At 22 weeks there movement are still very sporadic and baby may have just moved to where you cant feel them kicking

So try not to worry but ring them up and see what they say

Thank you so much for your support. I know i was being silly but i just didn't want to go in in case it was bad news on Stuarts birthday. Thankfully this afternoon while i've been sat playing games on the computer i've felt some small movements again. I was so relieved.

Its good to here other people say that you can't always feel the movement. I had hoped that it had just turned round. I think that i presumed that because stuart had felt it as well that it would keep getting more regular and stronger. I guess i was wrong.

If i'm still worried on Monday i'll give them a ring as i've got the day off. I think i've also been worried as we've never seen baby move on any of the scans either. Stuart just says it takes after me and sleeps all the time.

I know everyone is different but how often do you all feel movements around this time?

Thanks again for your support and for letting me tell you all my worries. You are all great.

lie down and stick an ice cube on your belly and it should do its best to kick it lol, im sure everythings fine hun, I never really felt my other two that much and they were both fine

I had the same thing around the same stage - I went to mw and she listened to heartbeat and everything was fine.

I expected movements to keep getting bigger and stronger too but that doesn't seem to be the case.

In a few weeks time i'm sure you will be feeling things quite regularly - probably when you are trying to sleep!
