Help asap please

I desperatley need my dating scan and the hospital have rang me up saying they can fit me in tomorrow at 12 BUT I only started with my employer on monday, didnt know I was pregnant when I applied, and I am supposed to working a 8-2 shift tomorrow and as yet they dont know Im pregnant!?!?

Maybe its best to tell your employer soon if you are quite far gone as you might start showing soon. I told my employers last week, some of them were chuffed, others just said congrats and walked off. Oh well there isnt much they can do or say.

i wud just tell employer your pregnant, they have to give you time off then.

Hummm thats a tough one seeing as you only started with them Monday. The most sensiable thing would be to tell them you are Pregnant and that you diddnt know until recently, they have to honour you time off to go to any pregnancy related appointments.

Just one question though....are you on a Permenant contract with them? How far gone are you?

An employer cannot discriminate (spelt that wrong lol) because you are pregnant, although they might try it if your still within probabtion period, if they do, take them to the cleaners! or if your quite early on in pregnancy try and hold out untill 3 month probationary is up? and call in sick.

Secondly, think you only have to be with them for 6 months to get full meternity pay?

I think Im 12 weeks as my period cycles were 8 weeks long. However going by the traditional 4 week cycles its 16 weeks been size 16 I hadnt noticed a bump or anything. Because my periods were so irregular I never paniced about when I came on as I was using contraseption. Its because I was on the pill and then the injection they have never been right since.

I only started on Monday and I have a 6 month probation period. I know I have to tell them about it just about got my head round it lol but I cant do it on the phone I am going to speak when I go in next.

Im so nervous about tommorw now and I have to go on my own as fiancee is working 2hours away and cant get back in time

Any of that make sense??
