Hi, i have just joined this forum and thought id say hi.
I m Jo and i am expecting my first baby in March. I am finding this forum so helpful especially as i am new to all of this and have been spending the last couple of weeks thinking is this normal and should i be worried when ive been having symptoms.
I have had an early scan already as i have been suffering with severe pains in the right hand side of my tummy. It was like a sharp stabbing pain even bought tears to my eyes! Thankfully my doctor was really good and sent me for an early scan straight away. I am so pleased that everything is ok and the pains are not related to the pregnancy. They did say though that they may be from a cyst which may have burst. Has anyone eles had this?
Sorry to waffle on, once i start i cant stop!

hi Jo and welcome, glad all is well and congratulations on your pregnancy. hope you have a happy and healthy 9 months, we are due around the same time!! no history or knowledge of cysts but hope all is well and your pain has eased xx

Thanks i am feeling better now the pains have eased so hopefully it will have just taken its course.
Is it just me or does it feel like March is a million years away!

yep tell me about it!!

I have my first midwife appointment on tuesday and hoping that my scan will be booked soon after that around 12 weeks.

Hope you feeling ok jo and not getting too many horrible symptoms yet, i was fine til dead on 8 weeks and they all kicked in at once this week has been a real struggle. but at the end of the day its all good and the outcome will hopefully be a happy one xx good luck xx

Rusks, yeh seem to be not to bad touch wood at the moment. I ve been feeling really tired though, i find it really hard to get up in the morning ( if you speak to my husband though he'll say nothing has changed there!)
My boobs have been quite sore too - someone at work suggested cabbage leaves in your bra although i am not sure if they were having a laugh or were serious.
Havent been sick as yet but theres still plenty of time for that one.
Soz to hear youve had a hard week hopefully these horrible symtoms will go soon ( probably wishful thinking on my part!)

March does seem aaaaages away - I'm not due til the 31st! Think that with my dates though it's going to be more like beginning of April, but will see in a few weeks time

Thanx kina, ive got a feeling i may be put back a week or so when i go for my scan , so i may have to wait even longer!

Hiya Jo

Ive got a large cyst on the left hand ovary and they can be painful sometimes. Sometimes when youre sat down and you go to stand up you get a sharp pain there that nearly floors you. I find warm baths ease it a little but I'm that used to it now I treat it as one of those things. Sorry I cant be more constructive but Ive had them years and didnt want any surgery so I just live with it.
