sorry if i missed it hun but did postman bring your test and di u test today?

Was that to me hun - if so - he did eventually arrive but after I had flushed away my FMU - got another very faint line using fresh urine - will test again tomorrow morning with a "proper" test and also with another of my cheapies and will post the results.

Showed DH the pics of the tests and he was like "i only see one line" when I pointed out the faint line - he was like "is that it?? It's supposed to be a dark line like that one  "
So supportive!

Jamie - Why didn't you share the brownies with us huh??!!
If I were you I would test with an OPK every other day started from when AF leaves until about CD12(ish) and then every day - but that's just me - I have never used them though sop probs best to ask someone else!! ;)

TO ANSWER LIBS QUESTION:

Well... the short version is that one year ago I miscarried and before that I was like clockwork... very regular. After the micarriage I had about 35 days cycles but would bleed very strangely...(lots of spotting and it would last forever)... never really got back to normal then in April 2007 I realized I hadn't had an AF for two months (which had never happened before)... went to Ob/gyn and coincidently started the very next day on April 26 after two months of nothing... but the good thing was that it was normal bleeding for me only lasted like 4 days and had the usual cramping. Well... it took my 40 days to start again (longest cycle of my life except for the two months before my april cycle) but it looks like its a normal one again! which maybe it means my body is finally getting back to normal.

I had a internal scan (the doc wanted to see my ovaries) in mid may and he said it didn't look as if I had ovulated yet and that was CD 22! So I'm not sure when I should start taking the OPKs I think I'll start on about CD10 ... what do you think?

Crikey,
I would definitely start a bit later then, but still maybe test every other day or something before then, because you could still ovulate early.

Might be worth asking this in a new topic, get some experts on the case :)

I think you're right - about cd10 then - and if you haven't o'd by cd15 this time then I might step it up to 2 a day to make sure you don't miss a surge just as you're not sure of cycles yet.

but I would also rely on cm signs and cervix etc (if you do that) as your cycle could be normal this time - and it is possible to miss a surge if you only use opks once a day - the problem is that having such a long cycle means you'll go through loads of them if you start on 2 a day.

this way you should use 5 x 1 and possibly 10 x 2 which is 25 for one cycle :( Actually think of it this way - you get to poas 25 times :D

Thanks MM ... I may do that. I may ask the Dr to scan me a few times this month or at least check my Progesterone towards the end of the month to see if I've def ov'd or not. It's a great clinic so I'm sure they'll help me out if I ask nicely!

Sorry I didn't share the brownies! They didn't last very long that's for sure... but now I feel a bit icky! It was funny bc last night I wanted chocolate so bad that we went and got brownie mix...got home didn't have any eggs...went back out for eggs... realized was out of oil... so dragged the DH out again! He said...these better be some damn good brownies!... and to top it off... they weren't all that great... oh well, my poor hubby

25 times!!! You do remember my post about being a terrible aim right? Well... I better start practicing... I may have to use some cut up strips of paper! My husbands going to flip when I tell him I may use them twice a day! I can just see the dollar signs in his eyes now! But he wants a little bean as bad as I do... so I'm sure he come around to the idea.

Thanks for the adive though... as I definitely don't want to miss the surge (If I even have one)... I will keep an eye on the CM thing... although I seem to have lots of CM all month long! Maybe I'm just always looking for it...and I've read up alot on checking my cervix too...and will take my temp. If I miss it this month with all that... then I will be pretty darn angry!!!

:rotfl: Jamie - that's something I would do!

I forgot you have a great OB/Gyn - definitely get them to help you figure out your cycle, I will begrudgingly admit that they probably know a little more about this than I do ;)

:rotfl:

Do it in a cup - then dip the opks. If you're not too panicked about missing a surge and plan to bd all month anyway..then just do it every other night :D

I have to be v precise which is why i know about opks - don't know about anything else at all :rotfl:

libs when are you testing? I know your ticker says 5 days... but I also know you are an addict to the stick  ? Just curious (maybe a bit nosey!) ...

Oh... I wanted to tell everyone my partially sad story but mostly just me being sooooo jealous...

Yesterday I had to go to work... I nanny for two families. (BY THE WAY BOTH OF THE MOMS ARE LIKE SO PREGNANT AND ABOUT TO POP! :x )

Yesterday I was at one of the families house (the more heavily pregnant of the two with #3 their first girl) and she was having me sort through all the girl clothes she has been given... and as they were hand-me-downs they all still smelled like babies!!! It was soooo sad... I got to put together the bouncy seat and the play mat... I was soooo jealous... and what's even worse as she is in that "moaning because she is so preggo" stage... she wasn't even that interested in all my "awww"-ing at every cute little dress...

I secretly loved doing it all...just wish it was for my baby instead!!!

oh I know.... I sound like I'm into self-torture or something eh?

It's a great job... pays well and I have a very easy and flexi schedule... but it does suck seeing happy families everyday.

One big upside... is that since I'm about to be caring for two newborns... I'll get lots of practice before kids of my own...

Jamie - how horrible for you. :(

A nice story - my Mum gave me a bag of baby clothes someone gave her today (all Conran etc  ) because they're girl clothes and she decided to be nice today and say I think you'll have a girl :D

Jamie - how dare you...I'm testing in 5 days

ok I'm testing Sunday morning
BUT
only because we happen to be going to City Centre tomorrow and there's a Tescos there........

:rotfl: libs

(I miss not having a tesco near by - their tests are awsome - I just bought a co-op test and it was the same price for 1 as it is for 2 tesco's and I bet it is cr@p :x )

And I hope you ask for the +ive preg tests when you get them libs!!

They keep them at the back MM- there's secret coding on the packets which if you can decipher it tells you which are positive

I can't decipher it as yet... :D

Sunday puts me 11dpo which isn't bad is it? Quite controlled really. The hard bit will be not poas tomorrow afternoon... :?
