Hey. This is a bit of an odd story.
I'm pregnant and it was totally unexpected. Myself and my husband gave up on ever having kids after trying for years but since I lost 6st - ta dah!
Now I am in no way thin now but still continuing with SW anyway (not to lose but to keep track of how I'm getting on).
My periods have always been sporadic and in no way regular so I didn't suspect pregnancy even with boob pain (I've had it before) also I dismissed stretching pains as my AF coming.
So now I have a dilemma, I have no idea how far in to pregnancy I am
I have been referred to a midwife and am now awaiting an appointment. Has anyone else experienced this?
My doctor also pushed for an early scan because I have no idea on dates and I have an underactive thyroid. I only found out last Thursday so I'm still in shock!

OOh congratulations on the surprise baby. I'm also with SW and have had my thyroid removed. I'm hoping losing the weight (not an easy battle) helps me too!

Thank you. I put on 4lbs this week due to all the celebrations :') SW definitely worked for me but I need to get back on it now.

Congratulations, what a lovely surprise!

Wow, well done for losing the weight, thats mega! All the best luck for your healthy eating in the future - I think knowing you have a life growing inside of you makes you really conscious about what you eat and put into your body. Apart from baby weight it's probably a great time and opportunity to really take care of yourself and eat healthy.

Of course, odd celebration treat is well deserved

I still haven't had my scan but I've had my first midwife appointment. She thinks I'm at least 20 weeks!
Makes sense as for the past few days I've had movement so yeah... this little sprout has surprised us all!
Good job I don't drink or smoke then.
Thanks everyone for your replies, looks like my first scan will be when we find out the gender too :')

Wow. 20 weeks!! Heh, be awesome to find out and only have half a pregnancy left. Good luck for the rest of your pregnancy. Are you finding out the gender? X

Oh yes. I'm very lucky to have missed the panicky first 3 months. We will find out the gender only because my mum keeps asking haha. We will also find out my due date (that wasn't just based on my uterus measurements). So in just over three weeks I've found out I'm pregnant and then all this :'D

Oh, my scan is on Monday. Excited but also nervous as I wasn't taking folic acid for the advised 3 months but my diet was pretty healthy so I'm not too worried.
