Hi hun! Wow number 7 :)
Im from dublin myself and I know what you mean about irish healthcare and nhs being different, not just with pregnancy but everything in general.
Best of luck !

Wow, 7 children, thats amazing! Congratulations and welcome to Tri 1!

hi DW its so nice to get positive reactions to having lots of kiddies. im really happy i stumbled across this site

ladies can you please tell me how you all got your pregnancy counters on your profile? im soooooooooooo jealous lol

Hiya, yep this is my first pregnancy!
For the counters I saw a couple I liked on other peoples profiles - click on one you like the look of and it will take you onto that website so you can create your own!
It will give you a url code.... when you have that, click on UserCp at the top of this website, then click on edit signature, and paste the code in there!

I can imagine that there are people out there that may not react so well to news of 7 children but I think it is amazing... It took my OH and me 2 years to be pregnant with this one but are wanting to try at least another 2 after if we are lucky enough.... Think our biggest issues is having a house big enough to fit them all... Please tell me that you survive in a small 3 beadroom semi detached. Would make me feel so much better... :)

I had a fun experience with the NHS this last week. Had my first midwife appointment last monday and she sai to call the hospital to organise the 12 week scan on the Thursday or Friday. Still today the papers have not arrived. Ende up driving all the way to the hospital so they could take a copy ofmy papers rather then sitting with the midwife for another hour to fill the form in again... But at least my scan is booked for next week... Thursday.... countdown starts. :)

Hahaha i used to live in a small 3 bed semi in Ireland but i moved into a 5 bed coach house when i moved to the UK.

Are the papers you mentioned the ones the nhs send to call you to arrange your booking scan? is so i got mine last week i find it all very confusing as its so different to back home its far more personal there.
I am supposed to find out my scan date tomorrow fingers crossed! i am still waiting on my first midwife appointment Ive seen the doc 2 weeks ago my bp was up i normally get quiet poorly when pregnant so i like to keep a close eye on things.

They normally do 1st midwife appointment at 10 weeks... The midwife fills in a massive form that takes about an hour. This is the one that got lost in the post. but lucky I got the original so took that over to the hospital for their records...

Hope that you don't get very poorly this time... you would think your body is use to it by now... Has it been a little while between the last child and this one? If you don't mind me asking....

For me I think the secret is to be proactive with the midwife, doctor and hospital. Am going to double check everything they say they will do.... Am hoping my blood test results from last monday do not go missing too.. :-(

my baby will be 3 when the new baby arrives.

Thanks for the advice i will be keeping my eye on things!
