i SUCK at searching for the right car seat. can any of u be my personal shopper? lol!

our main car (the only one not SORN actually) is a vauxhall astra (not sure which one but its a big 'un!) and our travel system is graco quattro tour deluxe. we hav the base for the carseat fitted to the car permanently.

melissa is 17lb 7oz and only couple more pounds before she needs the next stage car seat, altho tbh coz shes a long baby her legs are already bent against the back of the seat.

so, can someone pleeeeeeeease tell me which carseat to buy? and is there one that will attach to the base we got or dont the next stage ones do that.

thanx in advance hope u can help!

Oh I dunno if I'm gonna be any help but I'll tell you which one I just got.

Brittax SI - rear facing and forward facing so if she's not ready for forwrad facing its handy... Link

Hope you get one sorted hun

If you have the same travel system as my sister (and it sounds like you do) then you cant use the base for any other seat. We have the Britax SI First Class which you secure with the (diagonal) seatbelt of the back seat. We are using it rear facing at the moment :)

I highly recommend a Maxi Cosi Tobi. They DONT rear face though....

They are the EASIEST to fit, and they fit in MOST cars....

Britaxs dont fit in most cars... and i hate the threading the seatbelt thru the back and pressing buttons at the same time..

I have a Britax first class Si and also A maxi cosi tobi...

Its a lot of money, but so worth it, and you can get a gorgeous pink one on the bay for £140 brand new delivered ;)

thanku ladies- will get the boyf 2 hav a looky!

We have just bought a Maxi Cosi Tobi for Jake. I done alot of research in to car seats before I bought it and it has good reviews and has won awards. The safest seats are Isofix but as neither mine or OH's cars have Isofix this was the next best thing. This seat is from 9 months though and only forward facing so if Melissa needs a seat before she is 9 months you might need to go for a combination seat instead as these stay rear facing until baby is old enough and then change to forward facing.

These are the Maxi Cosi Tobi's for girls :D

If i had read ur post properly... seeing the astra bit i could have said...

I have an astra, i have a Britax Si AND a maxi cosi tobi in mine... The britax Si even fits in the MIDDLE back seat, duno if its the same on all astras to have a 3 point harnes in the middle backseat...
