Heavy lifting

A good rule of thumb is anything you wouldn't ordinarily lift. I'm not lifting tins of paint or owt, just in case! Though when I worried myself earlier on (I carried a big tin of paint from town home) I got stretchy pains which obv freaked me out a bit, I posted on here and everyone said not to worry etc, and they were right. But if you're a worrier, try not to lift anything that makes your innards pull!

We live up two flights of stairs at the top of a block of flats and I often do the food shopping during the day and carry lots of heavy bags up the stairs. Will this be ok?

If you normally do it they can't see why not. Maybe have a rest half way up?

Anything that you might strain yourself doing. We got a new sofa and they were really light my mam wouldnt even let me push the sofa lol xxx

Lol I'm awful, as I have the horses I constantly push wheelbarrows and carry buckets of water lol but that's what I'd normally do anyway, I'm not a worrier though so that's why I do it lol x

With my first pregnancy I was really careful as I'd suffered a miscarriage and we were really paranoid but this time I have my LO and am lifting him all day. Just hoping for the best.

I would certainly not be lifting anything too major but I reckon it's also about how you lift and making sure you're not pulling stomach muscles or anything.

xxxx

I agree , lift with your legs . and dont lift anything you wouldnt normally xx
