My heating has just given up

It clicks on, goes to heat up, bangs really loudly then packs up!!!

Grrrrrrreat..... I've got tenants insurance wonder if I'm covered?? I got two little ones in the house

British gas do a one off call out. Thinks its about £90 but the will fix it although when I called up to do this I could start a service contract with them and they came out the next day. My repair & service is £16 a month

Might be worth asking the landlord if they have anything in place to cover such things?

Thanks Hun. Yes I'm going to put an extra blanket on the kids and call them first thing... Will prob have to call about 4 times though as they're not very proactive lol I had to wait 10 weeks for a new set of bathroom sink taps when I was pregnant!! Lol x

Awww Hun hope its not too bad, my heating packed in last year when we had that really bad cold spell, it took the council 4 days to get out to me, I know just how you feel, and it's even worse with kids, sending warming thoughts xx

it was freezing but Stanley only woke twice, he had an extra blanket so he was fine! It's freezing today though lol x

I've called them they are just ringing landlord then ringing me back. They said obviously its urgent so will get someone out today x

Landlord said boiler isn't covered for breakdown with British gas which is great because it means any old contractor can come out. I am waiting for one they've found that's going to come out!! Oh my god!! What if it's something silly lol and it costs my landlord loads if money lol x

Well its not your fault its broken and as a landlord its their responsibility to keep their home suitable for living in-which in this case it needs to be warm. You pay the rent dont you so dont be wprrying just make sure you and your family are warm x

I'm fuming rang my agency this morning at 845 who said they'd get someone out. Plumbers company called at 1 to say he'd be here about 5 I'm sat here 740 still nothing!! Agency told me basically to just call up in the morning as they were closing!!!

Stanley is 12 months old!!!! I'm pretty sure they are under some kind if obligation to get this sorted????

Omg that's really really bad care!! Call them first thing bab and go mad at them - I would if worse comes to worse say you will pay £90 to British has but your taking it out of their rent xxx
