Heartburn

Oh god the heartburn! I had it with DS but I'm sure it was much later that it hit! I can't take gaviscon as it makes me sick. Rennie worked with DS but doesn't seem to be working this time around.

Any suggestions on what I can try?

I was lucky with my 1st pregnancy didnt get it at all but i did with my last one , I did try rennies but they didnt help much! Does any particular food aggravate it? maybe prevention better than cure?

ask you GP for ranitidine, it's the only thing that worked at the end of my last pregnancy

Cossie Im the same! Was horrendous with dd but not til the last 10 weeks but is terrible now with this one! Gaviscon never worked for me,rennies do to a degree but not much. Drinking milk helps a little and then i sleep propped up with pillows,it seems worse at night xx

Drs have said I can continue with my Omeprazole that I took pre-pregnancy for acid reflux. They said it should ease the heartburn. I took my first tablet Sunday night and it seems to be a bit easier this morning thank god. Hopefully it continues getting easier - if it does then I can highly recommend asking the Dr for Omeprazole!
