Heartburn - when will it stop????

I'm SO sick of this heartburn!!
Will it stop as soon as I give birth or does it take a while to settle down??

It should go as soon as you give birth as baby is no longer taking up most of the room inside you and squashing your stomach!

Yeah, I'm afraid you have it until your little one shows up, then it miraculously disappears! What a relief!

I had it really bad from about 30 weeks but it stopped as soon as Kai was born. I really think I had it bad as he was in a difficult position.

I really sympathise with you, it can be horrible and painful but not much longer!

I know it's an old wive's tale but there has been some research done into it which says there's some truth in it, but you might have a baby with a full head of hair!! Apparently a chemical that is produced when you have heartburn promotes hair growth or the other way around!!

You can see a picture of my little boy, I had A LOT of heart burn!

yeh it stops as soon as you have given birth, i had it really badly from 4 months onwards until the last few weeks i had no sleep wot so ever and my LO as you can see had a lot of hair lol

I have a repeat prescription for Gaviscon and am getting through it like nobodies business. My due date is today and no sign of baby making an appearance as yet so looks like I'll have to put up with the heartburn for a little bit longer - at least I know the end is in sight

Oh heartburn....I remember it well. I was told not to have Gaviscon as it was too salty - the doctor gave me something else....can't remember what it was called now, but I think it began with M....

My heartburn lasted from implantation (from dates!) to giving birth. Every day, all day - it was horrid!

Bizarrely, I now look back on that pregnancy with some fondness.....

Some things still give me heartburn, and I never had it before being pregnant. So it might not go completely

I had terrible heartburn all the way through and it went as soon as i gave birth - baby also had loads of hair!
