Need I say more????

Has anyone got any remedies for heartburn???

It is horrible, I'm on my 4th bottle of gaviscon which only works to a certain point now. A friend at work said Love Hearts worked really well for her but I've not tried them yet xx

I was fortunate enough this time to still use my omeprazole albeit a cut dose but it did the trick along side gaviscon for the occasionAl swig. With my first I drunk gaviscon by the bottle. Vile stuff which more often than not made me vom.

Zantac might help or some people say mint tea or Trebor mints. Nothing natural dents my symptoms unfortunately.

Good luck.

xxxx

Teaspoon of baking soda or bicarb of soda in water. It works haha. I went through whole cartons of milk, gaviscon, omeprazole and the baking soda was the only thing that touched it. Tastes awful but works xx

I thought I read not to take baking soda in pregnancy? I could be wrong xx

I'm not sure lol I never read not too and Imogen is fine but maybe worth looking into it. I hope thats not the case as I dunno what I would of done without it. Might be to do with sodium levels? I didn't do it often as used to try everything else first as it tastrs so horrid haha xx

I found this but not sure what it means:

That is why many women with swelled feet are advised to have a low sodium diet. Taking baking soda as antacid may help you reduce heartburn, but it will increase your problem if you are suffering from edema. For some reasons, baking soda is assigned category C rating by the FDA for pregnant women.

Reading it looks like most women would be fine unless you have swollen feet but to check with a Dr before using. Xx

Edema is a build up of fluid. If you're suffering with swollen feet during pregnancy then it's best to avoid as it makes matters worse. Salt (sodium) = water retention....increased build up of fluid :) that's my theory! haha.

A bit of it every now and then is fine, I believe :)

Ranitidine I'm loving them. I can't spell it but it works a treat. Stops you making as much stomach acid.

Yeah thats what I gathered I think it's fine as long as you keep an eye on fluid xx
