Stress and worry just got the better of me and I HAD to borrow my sisters one. Fortunately, her's is a really good one and it's great at picking it up. Should be - it cost her £140 in the end as she began with renting it - you can buy it for around £90 though.

I ordered one through Ana Wiz and it arrived last week. Been using it but Im not sure if its my own heartbeat its picking up?

Trying not to get too stressed out and frustrated as I know the baby is probably still quite low down. Got my first scan on Wednesday and just wanted to hear the heartbeat before then so Im not a nervouse wreck on the day.

Your heart rate *should* be around 60-80(ish) bpm, the baby's will be MUCH faster!

yeah then I def think its my heartbeat that its picking up, but it jumps...it says 78 then 86 then it jumps to 140 without a solid heart. Ive got the HiBebe one. is the heart supposed to stay solid?

My OH read your posting and immediately started searching for where you can get the Johnsons Gel from.

Currently available in Sainsbury(special offer) for half price at £1.38 for 200ml each instead of £2.76

Tried it this evening and it works great.

So girls rather than paying full price for dopler gel, stock up from Sainsbury's

And Kimbo, OH passes his thanks.
