Hello ladies,

I realised I hardly post outside of the May group so thought I'd change that!

I have the health visitor coming today has anyone else met theirs yet? I think it's a fairly new thing to meet them before baby so we have all the information and not unloaded it when we have just had a new baby.

I had a meeting with a couple of my health visitor team already so not too sure what this one is for...I'm thinking just so we've met.
I hate having to make tea so I hope she isn't a hot drink drinker haha

Met mine a couple of times now tasha! She's lovely and didn't really do anything at the house visit other than find out where it is really!! Didn't have any tea though as she said shed be stopping all day to go to the loo so hopefully yours is the same!! X

I met my health visitor a few weeks ago. She didn't accept my offer of tea thankfully (I never have it so make a horrible cup of tea :s )

Was just a general chat to get some details so they so they don't have to bother with that bit when they come see baby I think. Was all very informal.

Im waiting for one to contact me, my MW said a while back that she would phone me at some stage, so just waiting now x

Mine came a few weeks ago. It was mostly to introduce herself , give me red book for baby and discuss feeding and safe sleeping.

I had a phone call from mine but she was most confused lol. She said she had never dealt with a surrogate pregnancy before and wasn't sure how it worked.

She's my health visitor and covers my area of Leeds. But although my sister also lives in Leeds, she isn't covered by the same clinic. So baby will go home and need a health visitor from one clinic and I will have a visit from a health visitor from my local clinic.

This being a surrogate pregnancy has sure confused people!

Tasha I met mine for the first time last week. We didn't really go through much, a little on breastfeeding but that was it. She also declined my offer of a hot drink so you might be alright :-)

Missg81 I think it's amazing that you are being a surrogate :-)

xx

Mine came round to visit at about 36 weeks. It must be a new thing because I never met my old one before my son was born two years ago.

She mainly just filled in a load of paper work, asked briefly about feeding and went over all the safe sleeping stuff again.

And she declined the cuppa.

Mine was just a quick meet & greet, and she gave me some info leaflets and info about local baby groups etc.

Basically also said she's an extra number to call if I'm worried or stressed about baby, or just need a moan. Very nice lady.

She asked for water (woohoo) :) haha

Literally just had a general chat. She might actually be on holiday so I will have someone else but I met a couple of them at this group thing where I got loads of leaflets so she will say for one of them to come. Was nice and relaxed and she was lovely and I felt comfortable :)

That's good. I've found with having a baby already people like HV, MW etc all treat you like a pro and let you just get on with it!
