head 1/2 engaged

Hi all,

Last week I was measured as 36cm (I was 33 weeks) and the obstetrician commented that I was quite big. Today I had a midwife appointment and now I measure 34cm. I queried this and she said its because the baby has dropped. She checked the positioning and his head is half-engaged.

Does this mean that he might come early?

...better get my hospital bag packed!

dont count on it coming early my friends baby was engaged for 7 weeks before she finally decided to come, the midwife always said it might be anyday now but she went a week over due.

Dont want you getting your hopes up only to be dashed. fingers crossed it could be different for you though.

is it your 1st baby hun? sometimes on 1st baby you can be engaged for weeks i was on my oldest i was fully engaged by 35 weeks and he was still 8 days late xxxxxxxx
