Hi all
I'm allergic to grass pollen and rapeseed. Since yesterday my hay fever has been relentless. I went to get a new inhaler yesterday as I get seasonal asthma and we discussed treatment. I was told opticom eyedrops are fine as they don't enter the blood stream. The doctor also suggested loretadine and told my to have a chat with the chemist.
At the chemist the pharmacicst told me she couldn't legally sell me any products. I had to have a prescription and the loretadine even stated don't take in pregnancy. She sent me back to the surgery's dispenser. After some time I was given a prescription for Chlorphenamine but told to take with caution.
So far I haven't taken any medicine not even my inhaler ( ATM I'm wheezy but when I feel short of breath, I will take it as my oxygen is also baby's). I'm terrified to take anything for hay fever but I am struggling. I'm up most of the night, red rore I have a chest infection now and awful headaches. My friend said one of the nasal sprays is safe. I just wanted to see what everyone is doing. I am Maid of honour next Wednesday and so I really want something for that being set in the countryside. I hope to just get by on my own for the rest of the time. X
