I Just have no idea what I want. we have bought a pushchair already, but doesn't come with car seat. At first I was sure I just wanted a pushchair & then a 0+ car seat permanently in the car (The big ones that are from birth up to forward facing stages)

But now hubby has said he would prefer a travel system with all the bits & bobs!

We are in Germany & it gets really snowy in the winter & the only ones I seem to like are the hauck malibu set & the graco fusio. He likes the other graco systems. But the hoods really put me off as they're always so wide & big  or could be me just being fussy!

What good brands & choices are out there? I love the pramette's too, but are they going to last for the amount you spend?

So much to think about & harder when I can't actually see the ones I like in-store!

I've had a look on the website, I think I kind of like this

http://www.toysrus.co.uk/Babies-R-U...o-Sterling-Travel-System-Ivory-Black(0084306)

The hood doesn't look to wide more rounded which is what I prefer. And it looks cosy & warm (it can get to minus 20 here some winters, so I've heard!)

But because I love all the quinnys, fusios & the ones with small wheels at the front I really don't think they're going to mission through the snow on school runs! So thinking it might be wiser to upgrade to one of these in springtime when baby is a bit bigger & can get manouvered!

Would something as chunky as this get through the snow?

Oh so bloody hard. I only have 4 weeks! :oooo:

Yeh we look at this one too it's gorgeous! Crikey that's freezing x

Did you see it in real life? Does it look as nice as in the picture? I had a graco one similar to the 'chilli' when my daughter was younger & it was a bit warmer. It was so nice to push around. I love the 'chilli' one too. But just didn't know if it would trudge through the snow!

I love the petit kurvi range also. I Nearly bought a silvercross 3d but I just thought for the money I could spend I am not sure if it is worth it when my school run is a 30 second walk from the house

I thinkbit looks better in the flesh Hun it looks really sturdy and warm!

Oh gosh. This is too hard. The German prams are HUGE! The wheels are like landrover wheels. Just so big & bulky & not pretty! So having to resort to online shopping is proving much harder than expected!

My preference for travel system is Graco - I had one with my first & never bought another buggy for her. Bought another one for this baby.

The permanent car seat is a good idea, but you might want an actual carry seat/car seat type thing, like you get with the travel systems. In my hospital they wont let you take baby out hospital unless you have it in a car seat/carry thingy. You could get a travel system at less or same price as a standard buggy, plus you'll have that extra car seat thing?

Also, i'd say the hoods on the travel systems are fine, not any worse or bulky than other buggies.

:)

Ive got the Quinny Buzz 3 and I used it in the snow the winter just gone and it was brilliant. I couldnt imagine having a pram with smaller wheels. It was about7 inches deep.

I'm warming to the graco - fusio & the graco sterling! But without test driving it is a gamble really lol!

I've got the fusio, I love it although not tested it with baby yet lol.
I've found it sturdy yet I can still pick it up and carry upstairs (empty of course for now) but I figure if I can carry it without folding at 8 months I should manage well with baby instead if bump lol

I got the Graco Sterling for this baby!! It was only £180 for buggy, car seat, cosy toes, rain cover. Its the exact model I had with my first and it was brilliant...nice big wheels & very easy to use.
