I just bought an angel doppler on Ebay will give me some peace of mind. And it will be just good to listen too love that sound

Oh ffs! Why is it everyone has to tell scared or worried pregnant women horror stories???!!!! Pisses me off. Take no notice, trust your instincts and ring your mw or the triage if ever you feel the need to hunny, even if it's something you can't quite put your finger on. The last week of my pregnancy was terrible and I was on the phone or up there just about every day. That's what they are there for xxxxxxxxxx

I know right, just puts more thoughts in our head!

Thanks hun. I definately will from now on. They made me realise that nothing is ever silly and if you feel something isn't right to always go in and see them.

Just lots of pain due to breaking my back a couple of years ago, major constipation and pressure from baby etc coupled with 10 days of contractions on and off lol. Went in for a sweep and they wouldn't do it but I was so distressed begging them to help me they put me on a monitor and Albert was born by emergency c-section 20 minutes later lol. His hb had plummeted to 40 and wouldn't maintain over 80. The mw I saw at first came to see us on recovery and she reckons I kicked off in a major tantrum through instinct that something wasn't right. Who am I to argue with her lol

Sorry hon, pottering around the house with PF logged on in the background. You got the same doppler as me. Also, even now it can take me a while to 'find' bubs so don't panic if you take a while too. He/she is also a Doppler hater and runs away so I only hear the heartbeat for a few seconds, sometimes I catch them when they are sleeping and I'm there for ages listening

PS That women at your work has got serious foot in mouth, I am sure she felt bad nice she realised it was the best story to tell you

Oh wow. That sounds full on. It's good that you listened to your instincts and kept going in there each day then! I will def be more aware of what is going on from now on. Thanks for the advice x

Thanks hun it should arrive by Friday I hope little one doesn't run away from it for me all the time haha that would cause more stress!

I love my Angel Sounds Doppler.

I had a night of panic on Saturday as I'd overdone it so had pains. Put myself to bed and didnt feel Pip move. Got the doppler out and although I eventually found heartbeat (she likes to hide!) I was reassured by the sounds of her kicking away She eventually started kicking at breakfast on Sunday! What a madam...

So pleased the hospital looked after you.
(I wasnt sure if they would take me serious about the lack of movement at only 21wks, good to know!)
