have to see a consultant - why

I've had abnormal smears for the last 6+ years, every 6 months I go for a checkup and end up getting some sort of bit cut out of me..... would that not of warranted been asked to see a consultant too? Or am I just worry about nothing now? :s xxx

I had to go under a consultant with my second cos my first was born small. Also had a bmi over 31. second baby had no problems but have been told i will probably be under consultanat again this time because i had preaclampsia with my second bmi now done to about 28 which is good should mean no gtt !!!! xxx
