If so are they any good and which one is best?!?!

There seems to be so many now... weight watchers, slimming world, b;ah blah blah....

I personally found slimming world easiest - much simpler working out the food - and all that free food :D I lost 3 and half stone in under a year.
I think it also encourages you to eat healthily if you do it right too - as the emphaisis is on fruit, veg, lean protein and complex carbs.

I'm not going to the club atm but I've started back on the diet today, although not as strictly as I'm TTC. But I feel like I stopped following the guidelines gradually and I feel worse for it (well that and all the lack of exercise and the extra weight)

Me and Rach are on slimming world. We've lost nearly 30lbs between us :cheer: :cheer:

I love it. I can't believe how much you can eat. I never feel hungry and apart from I don't have the obvious (takeaways etc) I don't really feel like I'm on a diet. I tried ww points system a few years ago but I didn't get on with it. I would definately recommend slimming world.

thank you!! Will go onto their website and see if there is a class next to me!

Thanks!

Oh and congrats at all your weight loss - lucky you!!

Hi ya,

Im doing slimming world and Ive found it really good. Id definately recommend it. Ive got loads of recipes too if youd like any just shout. :D

I've done weight watchers twice and it really works. I lost about 3 stone with them by going to classes when I was about 13, then a couple years ago I lost around 3 stone but that time by doing it online.

I personally would recommend doing it online because it's cheaper and you can still get the support from their online forum. You can also look up points values online and plan your meals that way.
I found that I didn't get much for my £5 a time at the classes. The talks didn't really teach me anything so all I was really doing was paying £5 to be weighed!

The only thing to be careful of is because you can spend your points on any food you want there is a huge temptation to use them up with naughty things like choccy and crisp. Although you may be losing weight you may not be eating a balanced diet. I also found I was eating all there processed ready meals instead of cooking from scratch so the whole family ended up eating different meals!

You might also like to consider Scottish Slimmers, they are very similar (owned by slimming world I think) They also work ona points system but you get portions of fruit and dairy products as a freebie so help to encourage a more balanced diet.

Hope this helps!

i have only ever done Weight Watchers and it didnt last very long, probably because i was doing it with my mum and my mum ended up relapsing and eating rubbish!! LOL but we are going back on it on Monday and i love it - i buy all the WW grub, sweets, nibbles etc so i can eat what i want just stay in the limit to my points!! would defo recommend hunny! :D

I want to start the slim fast diet. does anyone know if that works? My sister in law does weight watchers when she's not pregnant and she loses weight.

I was doing the slim fast plan when I fell pg with James and for the first 3 months of pregnancy because I didn't know I was pregnant! Poor baby! :rotfl:

It is nutritionally complete so you get all the vits you need but it's very hard to stick to because it feels really abnormal just having a milkshake for a meal. I've never tried the soups or anything just the shakes. They work but only in the short term. Good for losing a few pounds before a holiday.

My will power is so pants! I've tried all these different things, have lost weight successfully using them, but I'm still sat here now about 3 stone over weight!!

Are you girls doing the weekly weightloss chat in the chatroom still?

I did WW 2 years ago and lost a stone, I've kept it off too by sticking to the plan a bit, (on my own, as the meets were expensive for me on benefits) and sometimes visiting their freeeee online forums for support :)
