Anyone bought any of the cookbooks that accompany the series?

I have the handbook thing (didn't think too much of that to be honest) but wondering about the cookbooks, are they any good. I've read such mixed reviews online I thought I'd ask you ladies your opinions etc. I do like salads, beans, nuts, seeds etc so do you think I'd fair well on such a diet? Well it's not a "diet" but a health plan I suppose, I don't do well with strict diets and have tried all sorts of clubs, Weight Watchers, Slimming World, Rosemary Connely etc - I just don't get on well with them (although I'll also admit I'm quite weak with willpower!!)

I bought the book the prob is her stuff is too obscure..best advice go to a decent book shop and have a look through yourself then come back and search online you'll get it half the price

Yes I've heard it's healthy foods to the extreme, i.e. most ingredients only from specialist stores not the supermarket or local Holland & Barrat type thing some of the berries and seeds I've never even heard of and needed to look them up online just to see what they were (and what they were for) makes me feel silly sometimes

Me and hubby 4 of the books

at a guess the hand book you mentioned is the shopping guide (which I think is a waste of money) ,

we also have the 28 day health plan which we have been following since the middle of jan, hubby is really please as he's lost a stone since.

The you are what you eat cookbook which hubby uses when we don't quite fancy whats in the health plan :D

If you like your beans and fruit and veg and even fish then I'd say go for it, the 28 day health plan would be the best one to buy in the series.

We get most of the beans ect from Tescos they have a "whole food" section (normally near the organic stuff), so far there hasn't been anything we've needed that hasn't been there, and most of the bags of beans cost about the same as a bag of pasta.

what ever you decide to do I hope you do really well
Best of luck

Bargain Books are selling the official book for £3 instead of £12.99. I got it today ,haven't read through it yet but so far looks pretty good :D
